Discovering the Sérésian forest
For many people, Seraing is an industrial city, but what they don't know is that one-third of the area is covered by forests. This hike takes you on a journey of discovery through these forests and the many streams that run through them (the Neuville, Vecquée, Chéra and Ville en Court streams), passing by some iconic sites such as the Mare aux Joncs, the Arboretum, the Trou d'Ausny and the Source du Père Antoine.
Sart-Tilman circular from Boncelles
Loop through the woods of Sart-Timan, starting in Boncelles. It crosses the Sart-Tilman Golf Course and the university grounds.
Blanc Gravier Stream and Colonster Castle Circular
This lovely circular walk starts from the Adeps centre in Sart Tilman and passes by Colonster Castle.
This hike takes place mainly in the woods on small paths that are impassable with a pushchair.

Starting from the well-known long-distance hiking trail (signposted route to Santiago de Compostela), this route revisits the wonderful site of the circular Ourthe, passing by the old water pump towards the village of Ham. The idea behind this route is to limit the "concrete" sections to what is strictly necessary.
Angleur - Belle Jardinière - Colonster - Sart-Tilman
A very beautiful walk on the outskirts of Liège, mainly through woods. It passes through the Streupas moor, joins the Ourthe and runs parallel to it as far as Colonster Castle, before returning through the Sart Tilman woods.
On the heights of Tilff
Entirely on the right bank of the Ourthe, this hike will take you to the hamlets of Méry, Hautgné, Hayen and Cortil on the heights of Tilff, as well as the vast Bois des Manants forest, both on the way there and on the way back.

Rotheux and Oie Enceinte circular
This is a lovely route starting from Rotheux, very pleasant and without any notable difficulties, which will take you along the woods and meadows of Bonsgnée, up to Berleur and back to the starting point through pleasant countryside with some lovely views of both sides of the valley.
You may even spot some of the local wildlife, including Highland cattle, geese, horses and other inhabitants of the region.
Les Côteaux de la Citadelle - Fond des Tawes - Bernalmont - Old Liège
A stone's throw from the heart of the city, this route takes walkers through meadows and woods, avoiding crowded neighbourhoods and streets, while offering breathtaking views of the city and the Meuse valley. It is not uncommon to come across a herd of sheep or cattle. The region's mining past is also evident. At the lowest point of the route, you will pass through the old quarter of Liège with its dead-end streets and stairways.

A peaceful nature walk in the countryside above the Ourthe, spread across the municipalities of Sprimont and Esneux.The few forest passages make for a pleasant outing with varied landscapes.

Rocourt - Lantin - Juprelle - Liers through the fields and along the RAVeL
A pleasant and easy walk through fields where traditional crops such as beetroot, wheat and winter barley alternate, sometimes interspersed with fields of potatoes, corn and even flax. The walk passes in front of the famous Lantin prison and Fort Lantin (one of the twelve forts built to defend Liège at the end of the 19th century) and returns to its starting point via the RAVeL (Réseau Autonome des Voies Lentes), built on the former Liers-Ans railway line.
Getaway to Houte-si-Plou
This is a circular in the Liège Condroz region, mostly through forest, although the start and end are more rural.It is always a pure delight to walk in the woods of Esneux or Anthisnes, whatever the season.Houte-si-Plou has already been the subject of much discussion and, according to legend, much water, as it is said to be a miller asking his son to "listen for rain" when he went to bed and there was not enough water in the stream to run the mill.Nowadays, the expression Houte-si-Plou refers more to an imaginary place, unknown, non-existent or simply located at the end of the world, far from civilisation.
Le Ry de la Haze by Dolembreux, Chaply and Lincé
A beautiful and varied route following the Ry de la Haze valley and passing through the hamlets of La Haze and Chaply, before returning to the village of Lincé with sweeping views of the Amblève valley. This route is a variation on the SP-Promenade 9 route, avoiding nearly 3 km of paved roads.
The Gerée circular starting from Hermalle-sous-Huy
Circular provided by the SI. Walk alternating between ascents and descents, without any major difficulties. The last section of the Chemin des Crêtes is a steep descent.

The Ourthe Valley from Rivage to Hamoir
This hike will take you from Rivage station to Hamoir station via the villages of Pont-de-Sçay, Comblain-au-Pont and Comblain-Fairon. Along the way, you will pass through vast agricultural and forest areas, discover the Ourthe valley at times, and pass close to the Abîme cave and an imposing square farm, typical of the Condroz region.

Comblain-au-Pont - Remouchamps
This stage ofthe GRP®571starts at Pont-de-Sçay near the confluence of the Ourthe and Amblève rivers, climbs up the Amblève slope, crosses Oneux and Chambralles, rejoins the valley and crosses the river at Martinrive. It continues on the other bank of the Amblève, passing through Aywaille, Heid des Gattes and Remouchamps.
Villers-le-Temple, streams and forests
Villers-le-Temple, an ancient village marked by the Middle Ages, is set in a landscape of streams, bridges and paths connecting woods and farmland. Houripont and the Chessaine bridge bear witness to these historical passages. The Wetai and Fond d'Oxhe rivers have carved out cool, shady valleys that accompany the walk.
Around the village, the Bois de Bourgogne recalls its seigneurial history, the Bois des Dames feeds local legends, and the Bellegrange and Chaumont woods alternate between dense forests and bright clearings. Schist and limestone, discreet fauna and forest flora make this hike a peaceful and immersive experience, perfect for observing nature and enjoying the peace and quiet.
The Fond d'Oxhe valley from Ombret-Rawsa
This is a somewhat challenging hike through the woods on either side of the Fond d'Ohxe valley in the Saint-Lambert National Forest.Starting from the ruins of the Church of Notre-Dame in Ombret, the circuit skirts the hamlet of Les Communes before climbing into the woods, then descending shortly afterwards into the Fond d'Ohxe and climbing back up the other side through the Bois des Dames and Bourgogne woods. The return journey is again through the woods, on the opposite side, offering some beautiful views of the Meuse valley at the end of the walk.

Some examples can be found in Ellemelle, Houchenée (castle), Baugnée (farm slightly north-east of the route) and Fraiture. Geer Valley starting from Houtain-Saint-Siméon
A pleasant and varied walk on the plateau and around the Geer valley. Starting from the small village of Houtain-Saint-Siméon, the route joins that of Heure-le-Romain, following tree-lined paths to reach Les Hauts de Froidmont and returning through the undergrowth on the southern slope of the Geer valley. The route passes several former quarries, now converted into nature reserves.
