Saint-Servant walks

Dominated by the tall silhouette of the Château de Josselin, the River Oust is one of the sections of the Nantes-Brest Canal. This walk follows the shaded course of the river and leads to the charming Chapelle Saint-Gobrien.

Take a stroll to discover what makes Josselin such a historic place. As you wander through the town's narrow cobbled streets, you can admire the many half-timbered houses, the oldest dating back to 1538, the churches and the castle (entrance fee). A very pleasant walk.

This pond tour is not difficult: the total elevation gain is less than 25 metres. Although the start may be a little tedious with its 4.2 kilometres on a greenway, the return trip is more than pleasant along theGR®37, which runs alongside the pond and offers magnificent views in several places with a host of marsh birds.

Starting from Guéhenno, famous for its monumental calvary, the route passes through several hamlets around the River Sédon, as well as through woods and along field edges. Most of the route is on paths and, occasionally, on a few quiet roads.

An easy hike that can be enjoyed with the whole family. Departure from Malestroit, a pretty little town with half-timbered houses. The first half of the route is flat, following the towpath along the Nantes-Brest stream. The second part takes you through the countryside: fields, woods, chapels, calvaries and picturesque hamlets, following theGR®347.

From Tréhorenteuc to Trécesson, this route explores the southern part of the Forest of Paimpont and, first and foremost, the Val sans Retour. These are places steeped in Arthurian legend and provide a magnificent setting for a walk that is largely through forest. Please note that during the hunting season, certain parts of the route may be closed to walkers.

For the potential believer, this is the forest where a magician (Merlin the Enchanter) and a fairy (Viviane the Fairy) met. For the same walker, it's also where Arthur's Knights met at the Round Table. Finally, will the walker see the fairies who took to the water? before meeting the fairy Morgane, who locks up all knights unfaithful to their oath of love in an impenetrable prison of air (the Val sans Retour). Come and discover a remarkable megalithic site in the Landes de Monteneuf: a collection of standing stones, covered walkways and isolated menhirs. Although less spectacular than Carnac, it is nonetheless very interesting due to the presence of a site currently undergoing renovation, where regional archaeologists have recreated both the dwellings of the period and the methods used to raise the stones.

La Vraie-Croix comes from the Breton "Lan Groez" (cross of the moor). A lovely walk that allows you to discover the countryside around the very pretty village of La Vraie-Croix.

A pleasant circular walk in natural surroundings, featuring two unmarked forest trails, which are maintained in particular by joggers. This walk is best done in calm weather, due to the risk of falling trees and branches. When hiking the trail for the first time, if you do not know the route, the use of a GPS device is strongly recommended. Prepare yourself by reading the description and consulting the map; familiarise yourself with the location of the route in relation to the terrain and the road network; check that it is generally close by and accessible by staying on the path.The original route (2015) was slightly modified in March 2023 due to fallen trees. The route was last checked on 16 June 2025 (description updated) and 17 November 2025 (confirmation of no changes).

This route will allow you to discover the village of Beignon, but also to immerse yourself in the legends of Lancelot and Guinevere. During the walk, discover the Affolettes Garden and the Slippery Rock site, then enjoy nature along the Aff Valley. In the middle of moors and woods, Rochefort-en-Terre, perched on a rocky spur, is one of the most beautiful villages in France. With its cobbled streets and stylish signs, the town is like a little gem nestled in the heart of Morbihan. From the village, there is a beautiful walk along the ridges and former slate quarries of Pluherlin. The route is very varied, passing through moors, undergrowth and ridges. It passes through the villages of Rochefort-en-Terre and Pluherlin.

A circular walk in the heart of unspoilt countryside. The route is ideal for a family outing or a walk with friends, with no difficulty involved. The route passes close to a cave at the start and offers a beautiful view of Brocéliande Castle at the Pas du Houx Pond halfway along the route.

This hike near the town of Saint-Avé allows you to discover a landscape of moors and forests in the first part. In the second part, we follow rivers to discover the old mills. It is very varied, with lots of ups and downs.

Located on the edge of the southernmost fold of the Landes de Lanvaux, the village of Limerzel overlooks a wide valley where the Trévelo and Pinieux streams converge. The former has carved out a sort of gorge at the bottom of which it meanders, downstream from the Saint-Clair Chapel. The proposed route allows you to discover a very unspoilt corner of the countryside and many elements of rural heritage.

The old town of Vannes is full of reminders of its dense population in the Middle Ages, which you can discover on this short walk. In addition to numerous half-timbered houses, you can admire the old ramparts and the Tour du Connétable, Saint-Pierre Cathedral and the more recent Saint-Patern Church, beautiful gardens, and more. At the start and end of the walk, the Port of Vannes and its pleasure boats add a maritime touch to this urban route.

This is a gentle, enchanting walk that allows you to enjoy the woodland paths and the coolness of the long pond at the 18th-century Moulin de Quip mill.

From Benalo, head to Moulin de Pomper (small flea market shop in an old tide mill). We will follow coastal paths throughout (GR®34, tour of the Gulf of Morbihan). View of the coast and the islands of the gulf: Arz, Drenec, Logodec, aux Moines, d'Irus.

A beautiful walk from which you'll get to discover in the distance the island of Conleau, the port "Port Anna" and the entrance to the Vannes river. The inland section reveals some beautiful residences. ⚠️Check tide times and coefficients.

A very pleasant walk from the old Pomper Mill, now converted into an antique shop, to Pointe d'Arradon. The route starts along the coast of the Gulf of Morbihan and returns through the countryside. Discover the village of Le Moustoir with its old farmhouses.
