Description of the walk

Yellow markings, but they are out of date; I didn’t see thefirst sign of markings until I reached the hamlet of La Villeneuve. After that, they remain sporadic.

Park in the Place de l’Église or in front of the town hall.

(S/E) With your back to the car park, take Rue du Chêne to reach the D303. Follow it for about 100 m, turn left towards La Métairie de la Gaptière and turn right onto the grassy path.

(1) Cross the D303 carefully and continue straight on along the same path. Cross a small road and turn right onto a grassy path which joins a small road.

(2) Turn left towards La Villeneuve. At the hamlet, turn right to reach Bourrien (passing near the fountain of the same name).

(3) On leaving the hamlet, take the dirt track opposite and head up to the right towards the D2.

(4) Cross the road carefully and pass through the hamlet. Turn left towards La Ville Calmet and continue straight on.

(5) Walk through Ville Tual, past the chapel, and cross the road opposite.

(6) Follow the dirt track on your left alongside a pond. The track then becomes more grassy before joining a small road. Continue straight ahead along the track until you reach another small road.

(7) Turn right and veer slightly to the left onto the farm track, then turn right onto the track lined with hedges.

(8) Turn right onto the track towards Pontmenard, which runs alongside the Ruisseau de Camet. At the farm buildings, turn left towards the D2. Follow it on the right for 200 m.

(9) Turn right towards La Touche, then left towards the village and go round the church on the right to return to the car park (S/E).
