Parking is available in front of the church or a little further up in the village centre.
(S/E) From the church, head down towards the Fontaine Saint-Pierre, turn right towards the town hall and, at the town hall, turn into Rue des Vénètes, which becomes Rue Goverig. Follow this road until you reach the marked path on the right.
(1) Turn right, following the rural path marked in yellow (single yellow line according to the FFRandonnée guidelines). Leave the path on the left, crossing a small stream (caution: muddy area).
(2) Take the path on the right which climbs towards the hamlet of Grand Gillard. Once you reach the road, make a fairly quick first turn right then left, going round a beautiful bread oven, to rejoin a path which descends towards another stream. Caution: very muddy section in season. Head back up towards a meadow in a wood, staying on its northern edge. From this vantage point, there is a lovely view over the Arz valley, which is fed by the various streams crossed during this hike. The path then winds down in an S-shape to a new stream, which you cross, as with the previous ones, by fording.
(3) The path climbs towards the Chapelle Saint-Amand. There is an information panel to the right of the small chapel.
(4) The path heads back towards the D 182, which you follow on the right for about 200 m before turning left towards the hamlet of Scourboc. The road leading to the hamlet offers a fairly wide, unobstructed view over the Arz valley and beyond (Landes de Lanvaux). Walk straight through the hamlet and continue along a wide, well-marked path that descends towards a new, wider stream, as it receives the waters of the last two streams encountered.
(5) Cross the stream via a bridge, then follow it through a wetland area (wellies essential in winter) and then along a sunken path. The path then leaves the stream to climb a small slope before descending back towards the road at the small stream encountered at the start of the walk.
(6) You will find Rue Goverig opposite; continue straight on to return to the starting point and reach the church or the car park a little further up in the centre of Monterblanc (S/E).
