Circular loop starting from Suzan
The Church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste, situated in the open countryside and completely isolated, is the starting point for numerous routes. This route combines a signposted trail (Landes Departmental Committee) with a walk through wooded areas and past fountains.
Arjuzanx and Commanday Lakes
This route goes around the two large lakes of Arjuzanx, Lake Commanday and Lake Arjuzanx.
The track is on a gravel path and is suitable for mountain bikes.
Lesperon route
This route offers a wide variety of terrain, including streams, sunny stretches and shaded areas.
Onesse-Laharie on the banks of the Coulin stream
A lovely walk through the woodland, amongst new pine plantations, and around the Ruisseau de Coulin. Organised by the Landes Departmental Council.
In the Mazerolles Forest
A lovely route along paths through the woodland, skirting a charming little river in places. You’ll find the soothing atmosphere of the pine trees and, in summer, the welcome shade of the oaks and chestnut trees.
Between (4) and (5), the old village path runs alongside a forestry estate; you must stay on the path and must not enter the forestry estate.
This route is designed for horse riding.
Circular route around the Glacière Pond and the Miraculous Spring of Buglose
Wooded hike through pine, oak and acacia forests, passing by the miraculous spring of Buglose.
Pilé Circular
This lovely walk, through a forest of Landes pines and oaks, follows wide paths. There are a few tracks and some small roads. It can be done in all seasons, but in spring you can enjoy the broom in bloom.
Adour trail from Hinx to Préchacq-les-Bains
This section of the Adour Trail runs between Hinx and Préchacq-les-Bains. It can be walked in either direction as a round trip or as a one-way trip, in which case you will need two vehicles.
The Moulin de Pouymartet from Bordessoule
This walk takes you along good sandy paths, mostly through a varied forest of pines, oaks, chestnut trees, acacias, broom, ferns and so on... From the Chemin de Bouhette, you can admire the magnificent Moulin de Pouymartet and cross the Ruisseau de Cabanes via a narrow 30 cm bridge (easy).
From Bougue to Laglorieuse via the Val de Pujo – Map
A lovely walk through woods and fields, also suitable for hybrid bikes, amongst beautiful estates. Perhaps a little monotonous on foot.
Sentier de l'Adour from Candresse to Hinx
This section of the Sentier de l'Adour between Candresse and Hinx can be done in both directions as a round trip or as a one-way trip. In this case, you will need two vehicles.

The church and chapel of Lugaut in Retjons
This route, starting from the renovated church in Retjons and passing through a forest of pine and other tree species, will take you to the Chapel of Lugaut, a listed historic monument, and along a pleasant path beside the Ribarrouy Stream.

A pleasant route, mainly on secondary roads with beautiful sections on forest and farm tracks. Numerous views of the surrounding valleys and hillsides.
The stork oak in the Heugas Forest
This walk is only possible outside flood periods.
You’ll be walking through the Heugas communal forest, admiring the many oak trees with storks, reaching the River Luy, passing under the D6 bridge, following a backwater of the Luy and reaching the forest track. From there, you can either take the Route de l’alluvial plain – Landes departmental footpath no. 6.5 – or return to your starting point. Please take care as you will need to cross the D6.
Walk along the banks of the Adour and through its alluvial plains
This family-friendly walk will take you along the banks of the Adour and its alluvial plain. ¹
The alluvial plains are vast floodplains frequented by herds of semi-wild horses. The area is rich in wildlife, including storks, egrets and grey herons.
This walk follows the old towpath along the banks of the Adour and can also be done by mountain bike. It has recently been tarmacked from the start to Saubusse. As mentioned above, as the alluvial plains are floodplains, it is best not to walk there after heavy rain.
Short route from the Moulin de Bénesse-les-Dax starting from Heugas
From the Moulin de Bénesse, restored by volunteers, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Chalosse and the Pyrenees mountain range. You’ll discover the rolling countryside of Heugas and the neighbouring villages, and can spot at least seven water towers. During opening hours, you can buy bread, pastries and hot drinks at the mill car park.
Lake and forest route in Mimizan
This is a very diverse circular route that allows you to discover two aspects of Mimizan. On the one hand, there is the historical aspect: the bell tower, the wash house, the Borne de Sauveté, and the Château de Woolsack. On the other hand, there is the geographical aspect: the dunes, the forest, the flora, and the site of Lac d'Aureilhan Mimizan.

Aire-sur-l'Adour - Arzacq Arraziguet
The forty-first stage of the Way of St James. This fairly long stage takes you through the villages of Sensacq and then Pimbo before entering the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. This department is the convergence point for all routes to Santiago de Compostela. You will enjoy the landscapes of the Landes and, depending on visibility, you will have some beautiful views of the Tursan and the Pyrenees.
