From the town of Saint-Paul-lès-Dax, take the Bordeaux road (D947). About 600 m after the racecourse roundabout, turn right onto the D342 towards Gourbera. Drive for 1.8 km and turn right onto a small road towards Bouhette. Arrive at the shaded parking area on the left. The Way of St James (GR®655) also passes along this stretch of road.
(S/E) Head right as you leave the car park, then, about sixty metres further on, take the wide path that branches off to the left heading east. Reach the junction with a long straight track.
(1) Take the path opposite, which slopes slightly to the left at the start. Stay on this main path and continue to the junction with a wide track directly beneath a high-voltage power line.
(2) Turn left (north) and walk straight ahead along this track, ignoring the paths to the right and left. Continue along the path at the end of the track, which slopes to the left and leads to a junction.
(3) Keep left and reach the next junction, located about 300 m further on.
(4) Continue straight on along the Pilé Track 242, and reach the hamlet, where a beautiful Landes-style house stands, followed a little further on by beehives set up just off the path, under the acacia trees: take care.
(5) Follow the path which turns left, then left again a few hundred metres further on, heading south. You will reach a junction where the paths to the left and right are slightly offset.
(6) Continue straight on, turn right at the next junction, and you’ll come out onto a small road.
(7) Turn left and walk carefully along the edge of the road. Pass a car park, in full sun, larger than the one where you parked. Return to the starting point (S/E).
