The Shepherd's Trail in Leucate
This trail is part of the Narbonnaise en Méditerranée Regional Park Heritage Trail.
Starting from the village of Leucate, set off to explore the vineyards: limestone soil and a landscape shaped by man. A themed trail perfectly marked by stone markers awaits you. The option to head towards the Mediterranean is included!
The Fisherman's Trail in Leucate
This trail is part of the Narbonnaise en Méditerranée Regional Park Heritage Trail.
This loop will take you to the foot of Leucate Castle before descending to the banks of the lake. Around a bend or from the lake shore, you will be surprised by the landscape stretching from the Corbières to the Pyrenees.

Enjoy a beautiful walk along the top of the Leucate cliffs. There are no difficulties, but be careful of the heat in summer as you will be in direct sunlight the whole time.
Circular of Périllos
This hike in the Corbières offers a variety of pleasures. Nature lovers will appreciate the typical landscape of the region, divided between heath, vineyards and pine trees, not to mention the karstic cave of the Caune, which offers a cool and pleasant break during the summer heat. For those who prefer history and old stones, the Santa Barbarà Chapel, the abandoned village of Périllos and the ruins of Opoul Castle are excellent places to stop.
Pastoral loop of Caves
Walk along the hillsides of the picturesque village of Caves, which takes its name from its wine-growing past. Through the heathland, among holm oaks, rosemary and frigoules, numerous dry stone walls and old sheepfolds bear witness to a pastoral presence that has now disappeared. During the climb, on a clear day, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the coastline from La Palme to Barcarès.
The tour of Lake Villeneuve-de-la-Raho
A pleasant walk around the Villeneuve de la Raho lake with a semi-wild section where you can see a large number of birds.
The speed camera in Périllos
Loop hike to reach the Montoulieu-Perillos weather radar. From the village of Perillos (abandoned village), easy hike on a stony path (emergency access) (beware, no shade) to the radar, but the descent is more difficult.
You can park near the Sainte Barbe chapel (point 11) to avoid having to climb back up to the village at the end of the hike, but the village is also well worth a visit.
Vingrau - Circular around the Serra
A superb landscape with views of the Corbières and Roussillon. Best done when there is no wind. This is a circular route of 4 hours and the route is easy. There are a few steep sections. It is limestone rock from start to finish, so good footwear is recommended. From here, you can see Aguilar Castle, Opoul Castle, Canigou, the sea, the Corbières and Roussillon!
On the heights of La Palme
An easy hike that starts in the pretty little village of La Palme and forms a loop. The first third of the route climbs gently to the top of the plateau. The second part is relatively flat with a multitude of paths winding through the heath. The walk ends with a gentle slope, offering superb views of the sea, the Étang de la Palme and the old salt marshes.
Pic du Pied du Poul
Despite its modest altitude (596 m), the Pic du Pied du Poul is nonetheless an exceptional viewpoint offering a 360° panorama of the Mediterranean Sea, the lakes, the Corbières, the Aude plain and the Pyrenees. While the ascent does not pose any real problems, the second part is for hikers who are used to walking on stony ground where it can sometimes be very difficult to see where you are going.
