Start from the car park at Place Jean Payra, Rue Voltaire, near the church.
(S/E) Take Rue Voltaire, cross Place Rhin et Danube and continue along Rue de la Tramontane. Pass by the foot of the water tower, then keep to the right at the next two junctions, and head down towards the community hall. At the end of Rue Joseph Cazeille, turn right onto the track with a gantry limiting the height to 1.9 m. Reach the entrance to Lac de Villeneuve
(1) Follow the path to the left which runs alongside the lake towards the south, until you reach the southern exit.
(2) Leave the lakeside and take the cycle path towards Bages until you reach the junction with the greenway at the bridge over the Agouille de la Mar.
(3) Continue along this route to the left and follow the lovely cycle path that runs alongside the Agouille de la Mar as far as the railway bridge.
(4) Pass under the two bridges, then turn immediately right onto the cycle path, before the roundabout. Return along the road, then turn left and follow the Agouille de la Mar again as far as a chapel.
(5) Leave the cycle path by turning left onto a stony track, then continue along a cycle path to a roundabout at the entrance to Théza.
(6) Turn right, then at the junction, head straight on along the gravel path. At the end, first turn left then right and follow Rue du Pic de Néoulous, then turn right and arrive at a roundabout. Continue to the right and you’ll soon reach the next one.
(7) Turn left onto the cycle path on the pavement, leave the village, follow the road straight ahead, then cross the ford (the Réart). Continue to the four-way junction, shortly after entering Saleilles.
(8) Turn left and cycle through the housing estates of Saleilles, continuing straight on along Avenue de la Libération after passing the cemetery on your left. Leave Saleilles and head for the bridge over the Fossella stream.
(9) Just before the bridge, turn left onto Chemin du Mas Couret and follow it. Pass Mas Couret, going round it on the right, and reach the junction at the end of the track.
(10) Turn right and follow the departmental road to the first roundabout. Turn left onto the cycle path that runs under the motorway bridge, alongside the River Reart. Follow this path, then the road, passing the Mas de la Boneta and then the Domaine Sainte-Thérèse, until you reach the level crossing.
(11) Cross the level crossing and continue along the road to the multi-way junction at Mas Palegry
(12) Turn left, then take the cycle path that runs alongside the road, then follow the road towards Villeneuve-de-la-Raho. Enter the village and, at the roundabout, carry on straight ahead onto Rue du Général de Gaulle. After a steep climb, continue to the car park at Place Jean Payra, on Rue Voltaire (S/E).
