Ichthyosaur Geological Site

This easy hike takes you to a fossil of an ichthyosaur, a large marine reptile measuring over 4 m and dating back 183 million years. The trail runs along a fairly cool ravine before climbing up a slope covered with downy oak and beech trees to the Col du Jas. The archaeological site is located 200 m after the pass.
Crête de Géruen

The view from the summit is spectacular, with a 360° panorama where only the Monges mountains hide the Oisans. You can see south all the way to the Basse-Provence, passing by the Lure mountain, Mont Ventoux, Dévoluy with the Pic de Bure, the Blanche valley near Digne, and more.

Barre des Dourbes via the Pas de Labaud and Pas de la Faye

A magnificent ridge trail with superb views over the Bléone valley and Digne-les-Bains, as well as the Asse valley. Its long limestone cliff stretches from south to north for nearly seventeen kilometres, with the Pic de Couard (1,988 metres) at its northern end.

Long north-south oriented ridge, the Barre des Dourbes ridge separates the basin of Digne-les-Bains from the Barrême syncline.
Rising in stages over twenty kilometres, culminating Pic de Couar some 1988 m above sea level.

On the trail of the Trail des Cathelières
This is a short loop, suitable for horse riding, which follows part of the Trail des Cathelières de Mallemoisson route. There is a quick alternative route to climb up to Vieil Aiglun and then return to the loop.

This easy hike will take you to the remarkable church of Tartonne, the unusual Puits Salé (salt well) and its protective dyke, and some of the hamlets of Tartonne. Superb views of the Asse and Clumanc valleys.
Sapée Loop
A superb, slightly challenging hike from the Lodge des Robines to the summit of La Sapée (1,701 m). Pass by the magnificent Notre-Dame d'Entraigues church and near the Tartonne salt well. Superb views of the Asse Valley. Dense coniferous forest on the way up and deciduous forest on the way down.The Visorando app is highly recommended.
