This route is the first section of the Alpine Panorama Trail, which connects Lake Constance (Rorschach) to Lake Geneva (Vevey).

- Red-white or yellow signposting: Alpine Panorama Trail, sticker no. 3. Excellent signposting with numerous signs along the entire route.
- Mountain equipment, including good hiking boots, warm clothing and sun protection.
- A few fountains along the route, but the water is not always drinkable.

- Weather: before setting off, check the Swiss weather forecast or Météo blue
- Alpine pastures: You will cross numerous alpine pastures, where farmers are very cooperative with hikers. Please respect the paths that cross their property. Don't forget to close gates behind you.
- Please note that Switzerland is not in the EU. Mobile data is charged at prohibitive rates. It is advisable to download offline maps via Wi-Fi before each stage.
- In eastern and central Switzerland, very few people speak French. A basic knowledge of German or English is recommended. The local greeting is "grüezi".
