(S) From the Bahnhof hotel, take the underpass and rejoin the Alpenpanorama Weg. Follow the railway line to Hünenberg Zythus station. Sign No. 3.
(1) Leave the railway line. Head south on Dersbachstrasse, passing through the hamlets of Dersbach and Freundenberg. Continue to Buonas church. Sign No. 3.
(2) Turn south-west, cross Rischerstrasse with caution and arrive at a crossroads at Schmidhof. Signpost No. 3.
(3) Head south, approach the railway line and motorway, then cross them and start a fairly steep climb up Dorfstrasse in the village of Meierskappel. At the cheese dairy, turn right towards the church. Signpost W.
(4) At the church, take Dietisbergstrasse, which after a 90° turn heads south-west. After a very steep slope, pass Dietisberg, turn right at the Oberstehof farm and join another farm in Obertal. Sign No. 3.
(5) Leave Dietisbergstrasse on your right, pass between the two buildings of the Obertal farm and begin the climb towards Michaelskreuz. Follow a beautiful shaded path to reach the Untermichaelskerz farm. Sign No. 3.
(6) Pass to the right of the buildings, take a small path through the grass and rejoin the road to Untermischalskreuz. On the left, admire the beautiful chapel of Michaelskreuz perched on a hilltop. It is not included in the Alpenpanorama route, but it is well worth a visit.
(7) Enjoy the view of Lake Zug. Return to the Untermischaelskreuz road, pass the Michaelskreuz restaurant, turn right and you will come to a crossroads. Sign No. 3.
(8) Pass the houses of Michaelskreuz and take a small road around a small hill topped by an antenna. Follow a ridge down to Schiffmannshof. Sign No. 3.
(9) Follow the numerous signposts No. 3 to reach the entrance to the village of Udligenswil. Signpost No. 3.
(10) Head south, take Schössligasse and join Dorfstrasse. Sign No. 3.
(11) Heading south-west, at the village exit, rejoin the Hintere Zweiermatt road. Follow the signs and descend into the valley until you reach the Gotzental road. Sign No. 3.
(12) Cross the Gotzental road with caution and continue north-west for about 50 metres on this road. Signpost No. 3. Turn left, climb towards Obersmösli and continue to an intersection after a small shrine. Signpost No. 3.
(13) Leave the Dottenberg road on your right, turn left and start descending to Adligenswil via Dallenbach. Arrive on Dottenbergstrasse before it curves. Sign W.
(14) Cut across the bend in Adligenswil, go through two roundabouts, and after the Rössli restaurant, turn right onto Dietschibergstrasse until you reach Vorder Dalacheri. Sign No. 3.
(15) Turn right at the farm and leave the road after about 100 metres. Take the path on the left. Follow the Lucerne golf course and you will come to a small road at the Sainte-Anna Gerlisberg monastery.
(16) Continue downhill, following the bends in Gerlisbergstrasse. Cross the Bellerive road, follow the small road to Felsental and rejoin Bellerivestrasse at a level crossing. Signpost R.
(17) Cross the railway line heading west, use the footpath that runs alongside Haldenstrasse, turn left along the tennis courts and you will find yourself at the edge of Lake Lucerne.
(18) Enjoy the magnificent lakeside promenade to the Seebrücke. Sign No. 3.
(19) Admire the wooden bridge (Kapellbrücke) and cross the Reuss via the Seebrücke to Lucerne station. (E).
