Unterägeri - Cham via the Alpenpanorama Weg

For ease of description, the following symbols are used
R sign: Yellow sign with hiker pictogram
W sign: Sign or diamond with the annotation Wanderweg
Sign No. 3: Yellow sign with green sticker No. 3.
Sign No. 22: Yellow multi-directional sign with green sticker No. 22.

(S) From the Seminar Hotel, head west on Seestrasse, then pass the imposing church on Zugerstrasse and look for sign No. 3 at the Coop.

(1) Turn left onto Binzenstrasse, then turn onto Zugerberstrasse. Sign No. 3. Turn left onto Buchholzstrasse and continue to the intersection after the sports fields. Sign No. 3.

(2) Turn right, cross Buechholz, and after an intersection, look for sign No. 3 indicating the start of a path on the right in a field.

(3) Turn right into the field, take a small road in Zittenbuech and arrive at a fork. Sign No. 3.

(4) Take the left fork and continue to a crossroads at the tennis courts, Unterägeri Agerital. Sign No. 3.

(5) Cross the road, then the Hafenbach stream, and continue to an intersection. Sign No. 3.

(6) Turn north, follow the signs at the various intersections until you reach a new sign in a bend. Sign No. 3.

(7) Head north through marshes and woods, following the abundant signs, until you reach a small road in Brunneg.

(8) Turn left, pass the buildings in Brunegg and you will soon see another sign No. 3.

(9) After going around Ober Brunegg, return to the Urihof farm. Sign No. 3.

(10) Gradually turning west, walk through the mountain pastures, then cross a small wood to reach the St Verena chapel. Signpost No. 3.

(11) Heading south-west, take the small road to the left of the car park and continue to Rägeten at the junction with a footpath. Superb view of Lake Zug and signpost No. 3.

(12) On the right, at the sign, cross a meadow, then cut across the bend in the Rägetenweg and gradually enter Zug. Pass between a cemetery on the left and the Maria Opferung monastery on the right. Go down Zugerberstrasse to St. Michael's Church and then to a fork in the road. Sign No. 3.

(13) Continue along Zugerberstrasse, go around the Pulverturm, cross Artherstrasse with caution, and turn right into the old town. Visit Unter Altstadtstrasse and reach the lake shore. Sign No. 3.

(14) Enjoy the magnificent lakeside promenade and you will soon arrive at the Hafenrestaurant. Lunch is available by the water.

(15) When you leave the restaurant, quickly find sign No. 3 on HafenWeg.

(16) Take the Alpenpanorama Weg again, following the railway line to Brüggli. Stay by the lake until you reach Kollermühle. Return to the railway line. Sign No. 3.

(17) Follow Seeweg to Cham station. Take the underpass and head towards the Bahnhof hotel. (E)

• ? Alpine pastures: you will cross many alpine pastures, where farmers are very cooperative with hikers. Please respect the paths that cross their property. Don't forget to close the gates behind you.
