Einsiedeln - Unterägeri via the Alpenpanorama Weg

For ease of description, the following symbols are used
R sign: Yellow sign with hiker pictogram
W sign: Sign or diamond with the word Wanderweg
Sign No. 3: Yellow sign with green sticker No. 3.
Sign No. 22: Yellow multi-directional sign with green sticker No. 22.

(S) From the Hotel Drei König, return to Hauptstrasse via Strählgasse. Head west until you reach the bridge over the river called Alp. Sign No. 3.

(1) Continue along Spitalstrasse and then Katzenstrickstrasse until you reach a fork in the road at a farm. Sign R.

(2) Keep right on Katzenstrickstrasse and look for a path on the left at the first hairpin bend. Sign No. 3.

(3) On the left, begin a steep climb to reach the pretty Maria-End-Kapelle chapel. Signpost W.

(4) Take Katzenstickestrasse and climb up to the Chatzenstick pass. Sign No. 3. Stay on this road and descend towards Altmatt.

(5) At the crossroads, turn left, pass the Rössli restaurant and, just after the next chalet, signpost R, find a lane that leads to a level crossing. Cross the railway line. Signpost No. 3.

(6) On the other side of the railway line, turn right and follow a small road heading west. You will come to a bridge over the Biber stream. Signpost W.

(7) After the bridge, turn right and cross a road. Follow the directions on the various signs No. 3 until you reach a crossroads in Saint-Jost. There is another sign No. 3.

(8) At the sign, turn right. Continue through the woods until you reach a road at the large car park of the Raten restaurant. Sign No. 3.

(9) Cross the road with caution and take the small road on the left. Continue to Abschwändi. Sign No. 3.

(10) Follow the signs, passing one turn-off on the left and one on the right. Gain a little altitude in a wooded area, keeping westward. After passing a cross, you will reach an intersection at Mangelhöhe. Sign No. 3.

(11) With the help of the signs, you will easily reach a crossroads at Hintertann. Sign No. 3.

(12) In Hintertann, take the small road on the left, which descends to Hinterschneit. Sign No. 3.

(13) Turn right onto Schneitstrasse and cross Hinterwidenstrasse. Sign No. 3.

(14) At the junction, turn left and return to Hinterwiden. Sign No. 3.

(15) Pass between the houses and begin the descent towards Unterägeri, following the various signs. After a bend in Weidenstrasse, you will come out onto Schönwartstrasse. Sign No. 3.

(16) Take Schönwartstrasse, then Oberdorfstrasse to reach Seestrasse. Turn left towards the lake and quickly reach the Seminar Hotel. (E).
