Two-Lakes Tour, Nonnenhorn

A varied circular walk with lovely views across the surrounding countryside to Lake Deger and Lake Schlein.

A very varied circular route awaits you through the ‘hinterland’ of Nonnenhorn to the beautiful Degersee and Schleinsee lakes, offering stunning panoramic views.
You’ll pass through the villages of Selmnau, Poppis, Riedensweiler, Wettis, Busenhaus, Nitzenweiler, Gattnau and Retterschen.
Parts of the route follow small roads, and often take you along field tracks, woodland paths and meadow paths.

As the route is approximately 19 km long, a reasonable level of fitness is required, although there are only gentle inclines to negotiate.

Make sure you wear suitable footwear.

There are plenty of places to stop for refreshments, but during the off-season you should check the opening times of the establishments!

Worth a visit

Places of interest along the route include, in addition to the two lakes, the St Anthony’s Chapel, the Chapel of the Assumption at Hofgut Schleinsee and the herb garden at Nunzenberg.
