Circular route between Les Granges de Labach and the Col de la Coume
A lovely, easy little walk from Les Granges de Labach. The route passes through the Col de la Coume, offering a pretty view of the Larboust valley, and on the other side, the Labach valley dominated by the Céciré. A few extra steps from the Col offer a splendid panorama of the Oô valley, dominated by the Spijeoles.
Cap des Arjoulents
Snowshoe hike starting from the village of Oô.
11 km of fun, through forests, past cabins and viewpoints.
This is a little-used route, ideal if you are looking for peace and quiet and want to enjoy nature. With a bit of luck, you may encounter a few deer who, like us, have come to enjoy the incomparable silence.
Espiau Mountain via the cromlechs and the Croix de Garin
A very pleasant and easy hike, allowing you to stroll between the Oueil Valley and the Col de Peyresourde. Halfway along the route, you will discover rows of cromlechs with views of the Pyrenean peaks between Aneto and Quayrat. The Croix de Garin offers a clear view of the Agudes and the climb up to the pass.

A superb hike in the Oueil valley with the added bonus of meeting local horses and panoramic views of the Pyrenees between Aneto and Grand Quayrat.

Circular in the Larboust Valley and the Oueil Valley

A lovely walk starting from Saint-Paul-d'Oueil towards the ridges of the Tour d'Oueil Larboust, with views over the valleys and the Port de Pierrefitte.
Circular route of Cap de Salières from Cazarilh-Laspènes
A beautiful hike in the hills above Bagnères-de-Luchon, featuring a long stretch along a ridge or balcony offering stunning views of the Pyrenean massif, the foothills, the town of Luchon and the Larboust valley. The paths are well marked except for a short section on the return journey, between (5) and (8), which is steep and requires sure-footedness.
Towards Lac d'Oô
A lovely walk gradually ascending towards the artificial Lac d'Oô and the large waterfalls that feed it.
Granges d'Astau - Lac du Portillon
Starting from Les Granges d'Astau, there is a long climb with some steep sections, made more pleasant by the presence of several lakes. Lac d'Oô and its inn, and Lac d'Espingo in its magnificent setting are ideal places to stop for a break. After Lac du Saussat (pronounced Sa-ou-sat), the much smaller Lac de la Coume de l'Abesque marks the start of the steep, winding climb that leads to a plateau dotted with smooth rocks and small lakes, and then to the Jean Arlaud refuge.
Espingo Lake
On the trail of the GR10, the Granges d’Astau and Espingo Lake, via Lake Oô.
Nature and heritage route starting from Bagnères-de-Luchon
This medium-altitude hike offers a multitude of sumptuous views over the valleys to the west of Bagnères-de-Luchon: the One, Larboust and Oueil valleys. There is something to delight every hiker, not to mention the small, beautifully restored villages with their first-rate religious architectural heritage. A little bit of tarmac is quickly forgotten thanks to the beauty of the surrounding nature and landscapes.
From Superbagnères to Pic du Céciré via the new route
Climbing the 2,404 metres of Céciré is always a great experience, as the view from the summit is breathtaking, but part ofthe GR® 10 route to reach it is very dangerous and prone to accidents. Fortunately, to continue enjoying this classic route, I suggest taking the new, saferGR® 10 route.
On the Superbagnères ridge
A magnificent, easily accessible route on the Superbagnères ridge, offering exceptional views of all the peaks of the Luchonnais and the surrounding valleys.
Lys Valley - Maupas Refuge
This first stage, which serves as an approach walk, is difficult. The climb is steep and sustained along the Torrent de Houradade up to the junction at the Cabane de la Coume. Continuing the route to reach the Cabane de Pratlong allows you to catch your breath a little before tackling the final stretch via the numerous tight hairpin bends leading to the pumping station and then to the Refuge du Maupas, where the warm welcome will quickly make you forget the day’s exertions.
Lac Vert loop via the Coume hut
This is a beautiful hike during which you will discover stunning waterfalls, a beautiful view of the Luchonnais region and, the highlight of the show, the green waters of the lake of the same name. However, due to its elevation, length and a few tricky sections, this route requires a good level of fitness.
Mont du Lys via the Serre des Cabales ridge
A very beautiful, quiet hike offering views of several waterfalls and a magnificent vista of the Cirque des Crabioules and its peaks over 3,000 m. However, the largely unmarked path and the significant gradient require a fair bit of fitness.
