Albitreccia walks
Zigliara in the Taravo Valley (circular route via Cardo-Torgia and Vicu)
A beautiful circular route on a very shaded route, without any great difficulty. The trail leads us to the pretty little village of Cardo-Torgia, then to the hamlet of Vicu (Santa Maria Siché), where we can stroll among beautiful residences, including the castle of Vicu d'Ornano, before continuing on our way through oak undergrowth to the Col d'Urbichini and then descending to Zigliara.
Punta Cuzzaniccia from Bocca di l'Aghja di Bastianu
A quick and easy climb to a summit offering stunning views of the Gulf of Ajaccio and numerous other peaks. Very easy to access from the D302; after the village of Bisinau, park your car at the pass, at the junction of the roads leading to Filitosa or Albitreccia (Bocca di l’Aghja di Bastianu). The route starts on a dirt track. The return is via the same route.
Punta d'Urghjavari from Quasquara
A round-trip hike starting from the small village of Quasquara, leading to the Punta d’Urghjavari (1,345 m), partly following a section ofthe GR® Mare à Mare Centre trail. The ascent passes through a forest of centuries-old chestnut trees up to the Col de Foce. The view then opens up to reveal the Taravo valley and its villages. The final, sometimes steep, ascent to the peak follows a narrow, well-marked path with a few rocky sections. At the summit, a 360° panoramic view stretches over the Taravo valley to the south and the Ajaccio region to the north-west.

San Petru de Foce to Foce via Foci Livesi and Punta Forcicciolo
Circular starting from the top of the village of Petreto, with a route leading through the undergrowth on the ridge overlooking the Taravo valley to the north and the Rocca valley to the south. From this ridge, there are beautiful views of the valleys, the Gulf of Propriano and Ajaccio in the distance. The route passes by the memorial to the plane crash of December 1981 before descending to the Col de Vélica and then back to the starting point through a pretty deciduous wood.
The Frassu Tower
A pleasant short hike through the maquis to the Frassu Tower, which offers a beautiful view of the Gulf of Ajaccio, Porticcio and the Capitello Tower.

Punta San Petru from Ocana
Shady climb to the ridge between Punta San Pietru and Alcadina. Superb view of Aragnascu, Lake Todda, the snow-capped peaks (in winter) and the entire Gulf of Ajaccio. Steeper than the north side, the climb is steep from the start in Ocana.

At the gateway to Alta Rocca, this moderately difficult hike allows you to enjoy the exquisite scents of the maquis in spring. The route begins with a pleasant woodland trail before reaching the ridge, which offers views of the Taravo valley and the Rizzanèze valley. From San Petru, there is a magnificent panoramic view of the Gulf of Valinco (Propriano) as far as the Gulf of Ajaccio. On the way back, the descent is opposite the Aiguilles de Bavella.
La Punta di a Junca via Monte San Petru
At the gateway to Alta Rocca, this moderately difficult hike allows you to enjoy the exquisite scents of the maquis in spring. The route stretches along the ridge, offering views of both the Taravo and Rizzanèze valleys. After San Petru, there is a magnificent viewpoint from an orientation table. You can continue on to the memorial stone commemorating the 1981 plane crash. The return and descent are opposite the Aiguilles de Bavella and Incudine.
In Alta Rocca: from Col Saint-Eustache to Col de la Vaccia
A round-trip mountain hike, mainly along the ridge, offering beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and villages. This route allows you to complete only part of the proposed route by turning back from any point, depending on the wishes of the walkers and the conditions.
Punta di Bozzi in Guitera les Bains
A circular hike from Guitera les Bains, ideal in sunny weather as the route is through shady woodland. From the easily accessible rocky peak of Bozzi, there is a superb panoramic view of the middle Taravo valley, stretching from Petreto-Bicchisano in the west to the mountains in the east. Opposite is the Cuscione plateau and Mount Incudine. Please note, however, that the descent back to the village is via passages that are sometimes damaged by erosion.
Mont d'Aragnascu loop
This is a great hike, best done in the morning. Superb views of the Prunelli and Gravone valleys. No difficulties, very well marked route in yellow.

Circular Di Ghjavingnolu via the Coscione plateau in Aullène
This is a lovely hike that leads to the rocking rock, then on to the Coscione plateau through the pozzines where pigs and horses roam freely. We then follow the Giavingiolu stream, which we will have to ford several times. The descent then follows and overlooks the beautiful Chiuvone gorge.
Coti-Chiavari Penitentiary
A pleasant family walk in the cool shade of the trees, offering a magnificent view of the Ajaccio golf course once you reach the top.
Tour of Isolella
On the Isolella peninsula, this short walk will take you to the magnificent Anse Sainte-Barbe, then up to the foot of the Isolella Genoese Tower for a beautiful view of the Gulf of Ajaccio.
Le Plat du Moulin or Chemin de Fica
A pleasant family walk, best done early in the morning or late afternoon.
Bring your swimsuit and then head to Mare e Sole Beach, which is sublime with its fine sand.
Dam and reservoir above the former Chiavari penitentiary
Short walk from the car park opposite the prison to the dam reservoir. From here, there is a beautiful view of the valley. In the lake, you will see fish, lots of dragonflies and, perhaps, the two frogs.
The Sardinian plateau via Aullène from Serra di Scopamena
A beautiful hike on the Sardinian plateau via the village of Aullène. Some of these trails connected villages in the days before roads existed. They are ideal for exploring the heights of Alta Rocca. This walk alternates between open and closed landscapes, holm oak forests and chestnut groves. A typical atmosphere of the Alta Rocca region.
Punta di a Cuciurpula: in the footsteps of Lord Rinucciu della Rocca
This is an attractive hike due to the panoramic views from the summit (view of the Rizzanese valley, the Aiguilles de Bavella, the Gulf of Valinco, etc.) and from a historical point of view. Indeed, numerous educational panels, starting from the point (3), retrace the history of the lord of Rinucciu Della Rocca and his castle. The descent to the village winds its way through impressive granite boulders, once inhabited, in a forest of holm oaks that is as beautiful as it is mysterious.
Bastelica Circular Loop
If you don’t like out-and-back routes, here is a circular route that can be done starting from Bastelica. It will allow you to see the Ortola waterfall. You will also pass through the pig farms on this walk.

A short hike starting from Bastelica, following the Volta Canal and leading to the Ortola Waterfall. You will pass through a magnificent forest of old chestnut trees.
Cupabia beach and Capanella Tower
A pleasant walk along the coast with the option of stopping at a beach and exploring a Genoese tower.
Circular route of Rocher des Gozzi and Punta Pastinaca
A superb hike to share with others. Circular walk around the popular Rocher des Gozzi, which then climbs back up towards Punta Pastinaca. It continues on to Punta Curbajola, then descends towards the stream to reach Bocca a Foce. It then climbs back up towards San Sisto. It offers 360° views and a chance to share a moment sheltered from the wind in the old chapel.

This hike on the outskirts of Ajaccio leads to the Rocher des Gozzi, a red granite cliff, at the top of which there is an exceptional view of the Gulf of Lava, then Ajaccio with its airport and the points of Isulella, Castagna and Capu di Muru, and the Gravone valley.
From Punta Pastinaca, the view is completed to the east by the magnificent view of Monte Rotondo, Monte d'Oro and Monte Renoso and the Gravone valley.
