Description of the walk

You can park near the church in Sorbollano.

(S/E) From the church, take the steps on the left and follow the narrow lane which leads onto a tarmac road. Turn right and continue until you reach a signpost.

(1) Turn left towards Serra di Scopamena. The path is marked in yellow. You’ll reach a junction with the road leading down to the sewage treatment plant.

(2) Cross the road and follow the yellow-marked path opposite. Continue downhill, then climb slightly to reach the junction with the Mare a Mare trail.

(3) Turn right onto this path for a long climb, following the orange markings. You’ll reach a junction.

(4) There are two options:
- turn right and return to the village of Sorbollano (following the yellow markings (route choice)).
- continue straight on and take the Serra di Scopamena Heritage Trail.

At the first houses in Sorbollano, turn left to return directly to the church (S/E).

A lovely, shaded walk – easy, even if the final climb is quite a challenge. The start isn’t easy to find… as is often the case in Corsica.
The view from the starting point is magnificent. We’ll be back!
