Park near the restaurant "Chez Paul" in Bastelica.
(S/E) The path starts to the right of the wash house. You’ll need to open a small gate to access it; the markings are orange. The walk begins with a challenging climb up a path with large stones, heading north-east. You’ll arrive at the Canal de la Volta, dating from the 1930s.
(1) Follow the canal for about 300 m until you reach the spring, which is located below the path and is marked by a sign. You can quench your thirst and fill your water bottles there.
(2) Continue until you reach the waterfall, where you can have a swim.
(3) Then cross the bridge and take the path.
Pigs are everywhere on this section. As they regularly dig up the ground, the path may also be disturbed. Furthermore, the path does not exactly follow the IGN route. You will therefore need to follow the markings and cairns carefully. Continue until you reach a gate marked by numerous orange arrows.
(4) Step over it using the footrest. You will then need to step over another gate to cross a pig pen. Exit the pen through the gate opposite. (Remember to close it behind you). Follow the farm track to the road.
(5) Cross the Pont de Minocchi and take the small path that climbs alongside the campsite fence. Follow the path and cross the Canal de la Volta once more.
(6) Continue straight ahead. The final two hundred metres follow small paths cutting through the vegetation, then past the wash house at the start (S/E).
