Notes: as there are numerous paths in this area, the use of a GPS is strongly recommended. The suggested routes, which largely avoid forest tracks, can be viewed on OSM and OSM Rando maps. Although largely shaded, the route is exposed to the sun during the climb up the Défens.
The Aureille Loop
This pretty little loop runs alongside olive groves and the Civadières climbing cliffs, climbs up to the watchtower and then descends to the village via a track and a large valley crossed by theGR® 6 hiking trail. The route mainly follows wide, easy paths that allow you to admire the landscape.
