Park in the car park at the Fontaine des Bormes, Faubourg Reyre, in the village of Eyguières. The path follows theGR®6for a good half of the walk.
(S/E) Walk up the road away from the town centre, leaving the wayside shrine on your left; the road curves to the right. You will reach the Oratoire crossroads.
(1) Turn left towards the Fontaine de Gillouse. Cross the Canal des Heaths and reach the Fontaine de Gilouse.
(2) Take the path on the right towards Lamanon. After 400m, at the junction, the path branches off to the left; continue on theGR®®6. The path is well signposted; follow the high-voltage power line for a while to reach the Noir pylon at the top.
(3) Turn left and then right 50m further on. After the mast, turn right, staying on theGR®®6, and follow a wide bend to the right.
(4) Turn right onto theGR®®6. You’ll come out at the cistern at the edge of the path.
(5) Take the path on the left and leave theGR®®6. Continue to the next junction 200m away with the main track. Take it to the right and follow this wide track down to the second cistern on the right.
(6) At the clearing just after this, take the path on the right at the edge of the clearing. Enter the forest and continue along the path. At the next junction, rejoin theGR®®6and follow it to the left. Continue northwards to arrive in front of the Saint-Denis Chapel.
(7) Continue downhill, following the Source Saint-Denis on your right, then emerge onto the road. Turn right onto the Chemin de la Source (take the path running alongside the road on the right) and reach another junction.
(8) First turn right then left and follow the Route de la Tuilière (D72E). At the post office, take La Grande Rue opposite, pass the Place du Cabaret, the church and the castle, and reach the junction of the nature trail at the football pitch.
(9) Turn right onto this path and follow the main track. Further on, you’ll come to a wide track under a high-voltage power line; cross it and continue along the path until you reach a new cistern.
(10) Turn right and walk past the cistern. You will very quickly reach a new four-way junction. Turn 90° onto the path on the left and follow it until you reach a water pump covered in graffiti.
(11) Follow the concrete road climbing up to the right for a few metres, then take a small path branching off to the left. Stay on this path to return to the junction at the Oratory.
(1) Turn left and follow the outward route back to the starting car park (S/E).
