There are only two old mills, no longer in operation, on this route, but it will also allow you to explore the woods and moors of the Gastinais region.

A short detour to Rochefort, a charming hamlet on the banks of the Mayenne, is highly recommended to admire the river. You can quench your thirst at La Guinguette before continuing your journey.

Visit Andouillé and its countryside with its gentle hills and cross the Ernée via its stepping stones.

Fontaine-Daniel, with its picturesque village and beautiful lake, is one of the best-known places in the Mayenne area, but there is only one busy road to get there and the hiking opportunities around it are limited. This route, which can be done by bike or on foot in a day, connects the town to the village via a greenway through the town of Mayenne, then crosses the rolling countryside of Saint-Georges-Buttavent. It also covers a large part of the Salair forest near Fontaine-Daniel. To shorten the route, you can skip Mayenne and start elsewhere to make a loop around Fontaine-Daniel.

The Lac de Haute Mayenne, artificially created by the Saint-Fraimbault dam, will charm you with its rich and varied flora and fauna. But this route will also allow you to discover the confluence of two rivers that feed into the Mayenne: the Varenne and the Colmont.

A very pleasant walk to rediscover the Mayenne countryside, between sunken paths, wooded areas, fields of cows and crops.

An easy walk starting from Genest-Saint-Isle, with very little elevation gain. The paths are beautiful, and you may see deer. In rainy weather, two or three sections are flooded for a few metres, but you can get around this by walking along the edge of the adjacent field. A beautiful finish along a pretty little stream.

This loop will take you through the countryside of Châtillon-en-Vendelais and Montautour.Can be done on foot or by mountain bike.

A short hike in the Fougères National Forest, through varied landscapes, culminating in a beautiful megalithic alignment, the Cordon des Druides. Route developed and maintained by the ONF.

A lovely, easy and picturesque walk around the Vicoin: marked route no. 3. There are many points of interest along the route, including a playground and a leisure centre. There is a dangerous section 500 m along the D500 between the marker (4) and the marker (5). The road can be busy at weekends. Avoid with children.

All the special features of the town of Fougères unfold before you throughout this urban walk: of course, you will walk around the castle with its 11 towers, but you will also discover it from the panoramic view of the Rocher Coupé or the Jardin Public. Speaking of gardens, the Parc des Orières, the Val Nançon and the Voie Verte are also on the programme. Finally, the upper town with its belfry, theatre and museums will allow you to explore the city centre.

In the northern Mayenne countryside, Lassay-les-Châteaux is a small town that is well worth a visit. As you walk along the surrounding paths, a few signposts invite you to follow in the footsteps of Lancelot through meadows, forests and the remains of three castles. An easy walk on well-maintained paths and a few country roads.

This 15 km route will take you through the magnificent sunken lanes of Hambers. It is ideal for all nature lovers: on foot, by bike, or even on horseback! This route is marked "No. 24" on the yellow directional signs.

This 20.5 km route invites you to linger over the beautiful granite architecture of the village of Mézangers and its superb Château du Rocher, to walk around the Étang du Gué de Selle pond while observing the rich surrounding flora and fauna, to cross the Bois d'Hermet woods and even take an ancient path. This route is marked "No. 25" on the yellow directional signs.

Saint-Germain-en-Coglès, God and Satan regularly meet here as soon as granite appears in a field or water gushes from the stone. With Le Châtellier hidden behind the woods, the commune of Saint-Germain offers some of the most beautiful stories in the region, which this walk allows you to hear as you wander along the paths. But beware, these legends are drawn as much from local imagination as from historical truths.

The legend of the Smoking Stone, also known as the Devil's Rock, says that when the Devil is hungry, he makes the stone smoke by baking his cake between the enormous blocks of rock that form a cave. This circular loop will take you from legendary places to sacred sites. It would be the devil's work if you didn't reach the gates of the Domaine de la Foltière, the kingdom of flowers in the Parc Floral de Haute-Bretagne.

This route is the first stage of a 96 km circular through the Vitré countryside. Consisting mainly of sunken lanes, this route will take you, among other places, to the Château des Rochers-Sévigné and the Valière lake.

Stroll through the historical heart of Vitré, city of art and history, with its medieval streets and alleys. Wander in quest of the heritage wonders with this trail. A true escape through history and the vitréen "art de vivre". End the walk by a visit of the medieval castle and its museum before going back to the starting point. Follow the description rather than the GPX tracks.

Wolves were very common in Brittany until the 19th century. The Argentré-du-Plessis region was no exception. Although its refuge was the Pertre forest, which we will cross in its western part, its hunting ground extended over the entire municipality, as evidenced by the names of certain localities such as Louveaudière, Cul de Loup and even the Bois de Noirloup, which we will pass by. But you can hike in complete safety, as the wolf has been extinct in the region for over a century.

A stone's throw from Vitré, a historic town in the Marches de Bretagne region, Lake Cantache stretches across three municipalities: Champeaux, Monteuil-sous-Pérouse and Pocé-les-Bois. A winter stopover for migratory birds, their presence is a source of wonder.

This route, which has little elevation gain, is an opportunity to discover typical villages and hamlets with rich granite architecture. This route is marked "No. 22" on the yellow directional signs.

This easy hike allows you to discover the Fosse Arthour. It is a geological fault called a cluse, which gives the landscape an exceptional appeal. This cluse forms a narrow, 70-metre-deep gorge carved into a rocky ridge and strewn with large boulders on its sides. The area is ideal for walking and climbing.

A pleasant hike starting from Origné. You will discover the charm of the Mayenne countryside and the towpath along the River Mayenne (a particularly pleasant stretch in fine weather).

Although "Belle Eau" is the name of a hamlet located at the northernmost point of this route, hikers will be amazed from the outset by the water gushing through the rocks in magnificent waterfalls. The route continues along wide paths, often bathed by runoff water from the various branches of the Cance, and ends on a high note with the panorama offered at altitude 314, famous not only for its small chapel but also for the battles that took place there in August 1944.

The Vassé Pond was created as ecological compensation for the construction of the Paris-Rennes high-speed rail line. There are educational panels on biodiversity and an old manor house. Many animals have found a home here, including sheep, Scottish cows, donkeys and ducks. Picnic tables, dry toilets, a shelter and a barbecue area are available.

Discover Torcé and its surroundings with this 11.4 km circular, which can be shortened to an 8 km route without the northern circular at Haut Montigné.

A beautiful walk that runs alongside the Village du Cheval and then enters the forest via a path offering beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. It then crosses the Saint-Ortaire priory and returns to the centre of Bagnoles-de-l'Orne, passing by the lake and the casino on the way back to the car park.

With family, friends or on your own, venture off the beaten track of the Mayenne towpath to discover the heritage and crafts hidden in the towns of La Roche-Neuville, Loigné-sur-Mayenne and Saint-Sulpice.

Route from the bar "l'Autre Café" in Bardet, then return to the bar car park via the village of communal lodges "le Bel Orient".

This beautiful walk will take you through the pretty, flower-filled village of Saint-Sulpice and its countryside. In season, you can visit the gardens of the Château de la Rongère in the village. You can also enjoy the peace and quiet of the banks of the Mayenne river by taking the towpath.

During this hike, you will discover surprising mining remains: iron mine shafts, calcination furnaces from before and after 1938, and a mining town. The hike begins along a Way of the Cross that will take you to the Calvary of Mont Brûlé. The hike winds through the undergrowth and follows a few sections of road. During your journey, you will discover a castle and an old watermill nestled in a green setting.

Following the marked trails, you will cross the Petite Cité de Caractère (Small Town of Character) of Saulges and enter the limestone walls of a superb canyon.
