Magnificent panoramic views of the thousand-year-old town of Estaing and views of the wild Coussane valley and the Lot valley.

This is a stage of the Way of St James starting from the pretty village of Estaing. I recommend visiting this magnificent village and its castle. You can also enjoy a drink by the Lot river. A plaque in memory of President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing can be found at the entrance to the village. This stage is moderately difficult with a lot of road and some elevation gain, so bring something to drink and protection from the sun.

When Nayrac was still just a Roman farm, a Gallo-Roman named Bilius owned a fountain and gave it his name: Fond-Bilius, known today as Fombillou. This story is only the beginning of the legend. Walking along this hiking trail is like stepping back in time... and remembering the myths and legends of yesteryear. Trail closed during hunting season.

This unusual old path through the woods tells a story dating back to the signing of the Concordat in 1801: that of the "enfarinés".

This hike is partly the same as the "Circuit des cazelles du Causse de Lanhac boucle Nord" hike. The route is the same for both circuits until (8). Marked with "Espace Naturel Sensible (ENS)" signs. A pastoral land, the Causse de Lanhac has preserved not only its fauna and flora but also an important heritage. No fewer than twenty cazelles are listed there. A volunteer association, attached to the Rodelle rural community centre, has been working for several years to restore these buildings, which have suffered the ravages of time. This hike will allow you to discover the southern part of the site.

Four new footbridges to span the canyon. They replace the ford crossings, which are often submerged by the Dourdou.

A land of pastoralism, the Causse de Lanhac has preserved not only its fauna and flora, but also an important heritage. In this wild area, you will encounter the stories and legends of the region. At the Gachou waterfalls, you can enjoy a moment of refreshment and relaxation. A very pleasant hike that alternates between shaded and open areas with beautiful views. Pass through small hamlets. The roads used are not very busy. Hunting activities are indicated in the areas concerned.

Between the Monts d'Aubrac and the Causse Comtal, the capricious Lot river has made itself at home on either side of Espalion. Visitors are charmed by the valley's mild climate.

A beautiful short stage combining roads and paths. Moderate difficulty in terms of distance and elevation. Very good signposting with red and white GR®65 markings. Take advantage of the village crossings to visit the churches and fill up your water bottles at the fountains.

The twenty-third stage of the Way of St James. This stage crosses the territories of five municipalities in the Aveyron. The landscape is mostly rural and natural, occasionally passing through woods and copses. The route is also dotted with several heritage sites of interest, such as the village of Estaing with its bridge and its towering castle, before reaching the Golinhac plateau, which offers mid-mountain landscapes

A very pleasant walk to enjoy in fine weather, taking in a charming village full of flowers and a lovely wooded countryside where the heritage is still well preserved.

The twenty-fourth stage of the Way of St James. On this stage, you leave the Golinhac plateau, which offers mid-mountain landscapes, and after passing through several villages nestled in a lush green setting, you cross Senergues, an ancient village perched on a granite spur, and continue along a path dotted with remarkable buildings and sumptuous landscapes before arriving at Conques-en-Rouergues and its abbey church steeped in history.
