Tour du Mehrbächel from Saint-Amarin
A pleasant walk nestled in a small, fairly wild valley below the Vosges ridges. Soak up the natural surroundings with numerous small springs and waterfalls along the way. The forest reveals its secrets, so keep your eyes peeled and you may spot some of its inhabitants.

Saint-Amarin - Mitzach / Tour du Hirschenbach - Sentier des Poètes variant
A pleasant circular route suitable for families or groups with inexperienced walkers and/or children. Numerous opportunities for breaks and stunning views over the Mitzach and Saint-Amarin valleys. You can shorten the walk by taking "shortcuts" to the valley at the end of the route and change the direction of the circular route by starting from Saint-Amarin and taking theGR®532(Yellow Rectangle) and/or following the "vita" route. However, this direction will be a little more "challenging" for those who are less physically fit.

Grand tour of the Huselberg
From the village of Husseren-Wesserling to Storckensohn, the Chauvelin route is a route for lovers of beautiful landscapes and views. Le Chauvelin, one of whose highest points is the Huselberg (706 m), is an isolated mountain in the heart of the Saint-Amarin valley. This rocky outcrop has withstood the passage of powerful glaciers. This walk takes you back to the time of the glaciers and the pastoralism of our ancestors.
Le Drumont from the See peat bog
The Drumont is one of the iconic peaks of the Vosges. Although much less well known than the Grand Ballon or the Ballon d'Alsace, it is an ideal spot for lovers of 360° panoramic views. The area is very popular with paragliders. This hike takes you up the Drumont from the Tourbière du See, which is home to a rich natural heritage. The outward journey follows the most direct route and the return journey takes you via the waterfalls and the Saint-Nicolas Chapel. To finish the hike, there are two small hills to climb, which offer views of the Thur valley.
The Blaufels shelter through the Willer-Bitschwiller forest
Enjoy a beautiful unobstructed view of the Thann valley from the Blaufels shelter. The route is shaded as it is mainly in the forest, ideal for hot summer days.
The Grand Ballon from the Markstein
A beautiful hike, done in January. You'll discover the snow-covered ridge road and the ridge trail, which is a pleasure to walk along!
Around Le Markstein
A walk around Markstein on a typical Vosges ridge.
This route has all the ingredients for a great hike in the Vosges mountains, including panoramic views of the peaks and valleys, well-marked trails laid out by the Club Vosgien, including over thatch, and visits to a number of farm inns.
8-shaped route starting from Markstein
This route in the Hautes Vosges is not difficult and offers beautiful views of the surrounding valleys. There are four places to eat along the way.
Snowshoe route of the Markstein inns
This route offers beautiful panoramic views (in good weather) and, for food lovers, three stops at inns.
Allow three hours of walking (bearing in mind that we took our time to take photos and admire the scenery), without stopping at any of the three inns.
Markstein-Lac de la Lauch-Col d'Oberlauchen-Col d'Hahnenbrunnen-Trehkopf
The first half of the route, up to (5), is wooded, which is pleasant in hot weather. The second part, however, follows theGR®5in open country. There are no major difficulties, except perhaps the slightly steep climb to the Col d'Oberlauchen.
There are beautiful views during this hike, particularly at the Col d'Oberlauchen, then all along theGR®5and at the summit of the Trehkopft.
In the vicinity of Markstein
A circuit mostly on stubble fields. There is little elevation gain, the trails are marked, and there are two farm inns and a restaurant along the way. There are beautiful views from the stubble fields. Many activities other than hiking: summer tobogganing, hang gliding, meals at farm inns, skiing in winter.
Circuit around Lac du Ballon
This is an ideal short walk in hot weather, starting from the Col du Haag and passing successively by Lac du Ballon, the Roedelen farm and the Grand Ballon. As the circuit is located on the northern slope of the Grand Ballon at an altitude of over 1,000 metres, there is no need to worry about excessive heat.

This is a relatively accessible hike, taking you from viewpoint to viewpoint to Engelbourg and the Œil de la Sorcière from Bitschwiller, then gently back up along the river on the cycle path.
