La Grande Cournouse, from the Grotte de Pabro to the Pas de l'Allier
La Grande Cournouse is a citadel surrounded by cliffs upstream from Pont-en-Royan, which can be accessed via several passes. The proposed route climbs up the physically demanding Pas de Pabro, after a possible visit to the cave of the same name, then passes above the Pas des Voûtes and La Charmate, with a visit to the Mesolithic site, to reach the Pas de l'Allier, from where the descent back down is more even.
Hike not possible at present: Closure of the Pas de l'Allier trail (Echevis municipality) by municipal decree.
Belvédère du Ranc, Balme Riendre and the ruins of La Goulandière
A short, easy hike with little elevation gain, suitable for families, which takes you through three beautiful sites. The Ranc viewpoint, with a view of the Bourne valley and the southern peaks of the Vercors, the Balme Riendre, a chasm with a beautiful stone arch, and finally, the ruins of the hamlet of La Goulandière.
Vercors Chatelus: Pas des Voutes, Pas de l'Allier
Very nice hike without any difficulty, with stunning views of the Pas des Voutes, Pas de la Charmate and Pas de l'Allier.
From the Cascade Blanche to the Cascade Verte
Walk around Mont Baret with access to two waterfalls. At the start of the hike, enjoy the view of the hanging houses of Pont-en-Royans. Passing through the Petits Goulets, a series of four tunnels on a narrow and very busy road, it is advisable to bring torches so that you are visible to motorists.

The Trois Châteaux viewpoint offers a bird's eye view of Pont-en-Royans.From the Serre-Cocu orientation table, there is a beautiful panorama of the eastern ridges of the Vercors, from Grande Moucherolle to Grand Veymont.This hike takes place partly in the forest and follows roads to avoid private property.
Loop trail to Paradis starting from Pont-en-Royans
This moderately hilly route will allow you to discover the typical landscape of the Royans. Through meadows and walnut groves, this loop will also allow you to appreciate the charms of the villages of Saint-André-en-Royans and Pont-en-Royans (medieval streets, hanging houses, banks of the Bourne) after crossing a neighbourhood called "Le Paradis".
The kingfisher trail from Beauvoir-en-Royans to La Sône
You start in the charming medieval village of Beauvoir-en-Royans and head to La Sône. On the way there, you take the kingfisher trail along the Isère. This is a short day's walk combining culture and nature.
September 2020: several hikers have reported significant deterioration of the trail along the Isère River. Some sections may even be dangerous.
Circular loop around Patente
This hike is ideal for discovering the Coulmes massif under the snow. On the snow-covered paths and trails, you will discover nature in its wildest state. Immerse yourself in this beautiful forest as you walk through it and along its forest trails.
Shaded circular in the Coulmes forest around Patente
A short family circular (tested with children aged 6 to 10), with beautiful views of the valley and surrounding peaks (viewpoint near the start), well shaded and cool. Lots of flowers and butterflies, as well as wild strawberries and raspberries at the right time of year.
