Park in the car park of the Faz cross-country ski centre.
(S/E) Take the road that passes in front of the centre towards the east and follow it to the end. Continue along the path that enters the forest, climbing north-east.
(1) Cross the road and continue climbing up the path opposite. You will arrive near the Clos Michet car park.
(2) At the intersection of the paths, continue to the left; there is a small forest house a few metres away. Pass in front of it and follow this undulating path. You will reach the Ganasse meadow.
(3) Take the path on the left that climbs towards Pré Bourret. Continue into the woods on this slightly uphill path. Reach the entrance to the meadow and enjoy the spectacular view of Grand Veymond on your left.
(4) Cross this meadow without going up or down; this is important because in foggy conditions, you may not be able to see the other side of the meadow.
Leave the meadow and re-enter the woods. You will soon reach Pas de Pré Bourret, the highest point of the hike.
(5) Turn left and begin the descent along the edge of the cliff. Be careful not to get too close (there may be overhanging snow). Enjoy the magnificent view of the Isère valley on your right. Continue down this beautiful path, passing a water collection point.
(6) In front of the water tower, turn left onto the short but steep descent for a few dozen metres and continue on a wide carriageway, still keeping to the left. Take care on this road as there may be vehicles. Continue downhill, leaving the first houses behind. Join the road.
(7) Turn left and follow it to return to the starting point in the cross-country ski centre car park (S/E).
