Névez walks

A hike to discover the old tide mills on the Aven river and the site of the Château du Hénan.

Wooded route following the banks of the karstic cave, a small coastal river, as well as the Anse de Poulguin and its many branches. The landscape changes with the tides, so if possible, visit at high tide.

There are three distinct sections to this route.At the start, there is a shaded path along the Anse du Poulguin on the karstic cave, followed by a passage through the countryside along small paths and little-used roads to reach the steep coastal path that leads to Port Manec'h, at the mouth of the Aven and Bélon rivers.Return along the banks of the karstic cave.Wooded landscape along the riverbank, which is flooded at high tide.Discover the seaside resort of Port Manec'h, a popular holiday destination since the 1930s.

A countryside route through the famous thatched cottage village of Kérascoët and the Chapel of the "Trois-Marie" in Trémorvézen, before returning to the seaside near the Île de Raguénez via grassy paths. The return journey follows the coastal path along beaches including Tahiti beach, before reaching a rockier coastline as you approach Anse de Rospico.

On the way there and back, this circuit follows the coastal path around the Anse de Rospico. Inland, you can admire small villages with their old bread ovens. Kerascoët, the village of thatched cottages, will delight photographers. Don't forget the fountains that dot the route and the Chapel of Trémorvézen.

From the Saint-Nicolas Chapel in the heart of the seaside town of Port Mananec'h, this route descends to the beach, running alongside it at a height before joining the coastal path followed by the GR® 34. After a slightly steep section, the hike continues inland to reach a cove of the Karstic Cave and then the river, which you follow to Port Manec'h.

The city of painters is nestled at the bottom of an aber, where the sea becomes a torrential river. Downstream, the tides create a landscape that varies according to the tidal range. At low tide, mudflats cover a large part of the foreshore, while at high tide, the sea creeps into the heart of the woods, which form a green backdrop to the sea tongues overlooked by ancient pollarded trees. What a pleasure it is to walk here!

From the coastal house, take the GR®34 towards Pointe de Trévignon and its small harbour, not forgetting the imposing lifeboat shelter on its launch ramp and the small lighthouse at the end of the breakwater sheltering the harbour. At the very tip, look out for the old fort and private castle. Continue along the coastal path, passing beautiful beaches that are also popular with surfers. Turn your back on the sea and venture into the beautiful country lanes: tranquillity guaranteed. Discover the hamlet of Saint-Philibert with its chapel and beautiful votive fountain. End your walk in the small hamlets that have preserved some of their characteristic dwellings.

In the footsteps of "Gauguin at Nizon" (Christ Vert or "Green Christ") and Trémalo chapel (Christ Jaune or "Yellow Christ")The route follows the forest "Bois d'Amour" and Aven River banks.Return along country paths.

Starting from Place des Grands Chênes in Nizon, walk through the Bois d'Amour and along the banks of the karstic cave to reach the Chapel of Trémalo, passing by the ruins of Rustéphan and ending at the superb Church of Nizon and its calvary.

Of the rias in Moëlan-sur-Mer, the Bélon is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful. Starting from Anse de Kerfany, the proposed route first goes up the dark, damp valley that leads to this beach. At Blorimond, head north to reach Anse du Lanriot. When you reach Bélon, the river of the same name reveals itself in all its majesty. Then simply follow the GR®34 markings to return to the starting point, staying as close as possible to this magnificent inlet.

Entre forêts et bord de mer, voici un parcours parfois technique qui donne un bon aperçu de la région du Belon. Assez bien balisé en Jaune ou Rouge et Blanc.

Three complementary and very different atmospheres for this hike:- The Bélon estuary via Beg Porz, Port du Bélon and the coves of Lanriot and Sainte-Thumette,- The countryside, with its picturesque villages and the tranquillity of the Kerfany stream valley,- The cliffs, small beaches and viewpoints of the customs officers' path. Please note: following a landslide, it is no longer possible to connect the points (1) and (2) via the GR®34 cliffside path. See Practical Information for a detour.

After a peaceful walk along small country roads to discover the Allée Couverte Arc Boutée de Kerantiec, this circuit joins the karstic cave at the Rosbraz marina. The return via the GR®34 overlooks the left bank of the Aven and then the right bank of the Belon, offering views of the opposite bank of each river.

The banks of the Belon and its oysters, chapel, fountains and covered walkway are all part of this very easy hike. You will walk through the Kermeur woods and along the river on a coastal path that offers beautiful panoramic views.

Two coastal rivers, the Aven and the Belon, have the same estuary facing Port Manec'h. This circuit largely follows the edge of the Belon and one of its coves, Penmor. During the walk, you will discover two beautiful fountains and the Saint-Léger Chapel.

Discover the right bank of the Belon and where it meets the Aven, where these two rivers flow into the sea. Return via quiet country lanes before reaching another cove on the Belon.

From the GR®34, we walk along several beaches and coastal ponds.Return via small roads, passing near the Kerdallé bread oven.

The route follows mainly the coastal path that runs alongside the many coves of Anse de Pouldohan and returns via Pointe de la Jument.

From the small port of Brigneau, nestled in a magnificent estuary, follow theGR®34trail to Île Percée, a small island where blockhouses were used to defend the coast and, above all, the submarine base at Lorient. The return journey along country lanes and through woods takes you back to the bottom of the ria, where old sardine boats lie dismantled and silted up, living out their final days.

The route offers picturesque and varied landscapes.A magnificent view of the entrance to Concarneau harbour and its walled town, a coastal path dotted with beautiful granite rocks leading to a ria where a perfectly preserved old tide mill surprises us; it's worth stopping here.

Descend for a circuit around the pond of Moros.Nice view of the manor of Stang-ar-Lin, nicknamed "the Pink Castle". On the way back, visit the grounds of the castle of Kériolt".
