The Moulin d'Angibault from Montipouret
This walk, at the gateway to the southern Boischaut, allows you to explore the surroundings of Montipouret via pleasant country lanes and small rural roads, amidst the bocage landscapes that George Sand called the Vallée Noire. In her social novel, *Le meunier d’Angibault*, she describes the beautiful Moulin d’Angibault. You can admire it halfway along the route, along with its bucolic grounds surrounded by the Vauvre.

Between the Gourdon and the Bouzanne
According to legend, Lys-Saint-Georges owes its name to Philip Augustus and Richard the Lionheart, who are said to have reconciled in this village. Combining the Lily of France and Saint George, the patron saint of England, we get Lys-Saint-Georges. Its 14th-century castle, the remains of an ancient fortified castle with eleven towers, was restored and then altered in the 19th century. This castle belonged to Bertrand du Lys and was purchased in 1430 by Jacques Cœur. It has belonged to the Count of Reviers for over a century.
