The starting point is at Place de l'Église, where you will find the FFR trail sign.
(S/E) Head north-east along Rue des Anciens Combattants en AFN (GR®, blue and green markings) and leave the return path on your left, continuing straight ahead for about 200 m.
(1) Take a path downhill on your left and, 150 m after the last building, you will reach a crossroads.
(2) Continue along the path on the right until you reach a small tarmac road.
(3) Turn left and then straight on onto Chemin du Châtelier; the slightly uphill tarmac road gives way to a downhill track that joins another small road.
(4) Continue to the right and, at the next crossroads, turn left onto Chemin de Coudaillet.
(5) After 150 metres, when you reach a picnic area near a small lake, continue straight ahead on the tarmac road mentioned above.
Note: the blue (and green) markings follow a grassy path that was not very pleasant at the time of my hike but leads directly to point 6 on Chemin de Fondeville.
At the next intersection, turn left onto Chemin des Garennes. After 300 metres, turn left again onto Chemin de Fondeville.
(6) At the bend, follow the small road (blue or green markings).
At the new crossroads, turn left and then right at the next fork onto Chemin du Pré Aubrun. Follow the blue markings.
Carefully turn right onto the D19 for 400 metres, then take the first small road on the right (blue markings). Go straight through the hamlet of Les Granges until you reach a bend, almost at the end of the tarmac road.
(7) Take the carriage road that descends to the left. Continue straight ahead until you reach theGR®46, which you should take to the right for 200 metres.
(8) Leave theGR® and the blue markings and take a path on the left (old yellow markings). After the climb, at the end of the path, take the D69a road on the left. Continue straight ahead (ignore the old yellow markings on the right after 300 m, which indicate a grassy path that was impassable at the time of my hike but saves 500 m) to reach the junction with the D74, which you should take on the right.
At the first crossroads, continue straight ahead, leaving the old yellow markings on your left, then continue straight ahead at the second crossroads with the D69. Continue for another 400 m until you reach the corner of a house.
(9) Continue right on Chemin des Noyers (old yellow markings) which descends to join the tarmac road of La Bourse. Continue straight ahead until you reach the D69, which you should take to the left. Cross the bridge over the Gourdon, and in the bend you will find theGR®46and the blue markings on the right, near the old leprosarium.
Continue along the road, which climbs slightly for 100 metres, then go straight ahead onto a track (blue markings). After 300 metres, ignore a track on the left and continue to the right for another 200 metres.
(10) Turn right onto a path that climbs quite steeply to join Rue des Anciens Combattants en AFN, which you took at the start. Turn right to reach Place de l'Église (S/E).
