Le Landreau walks

Learn about the history of the pillars of the large Briacé estate in the last century and discover splendid views over the vineyards.

The long Ombrages route in the north-eastern part of Landreau is a bit long, so here is a beautiful shorter section of this route.

Starting at Pont de Louen on the banks of the Goulaine (and its marsh in winter), this route immediately climbs to the Butte de la Roche to overlook the area, with a panoramic view as far as Nantes. It then winds its way between vineyards and charming hamlets, with other panoramic views such as at the Moulin du Pé. Crossing the village of Loroux-Bottereau, it then makes a circular route back to the hill and the starting point.

This walk takes you along the Sèvre Nantaise, passing through a small port and winding its way through the Muscadet vineyards, while you admire the small, typical, historic villages of the Nantes vineyards.

This fully signposted route runs between the banks of the Divatte, vineyards and hedgerows in the commune of Barbechat. It mainly follows unpaved paths and offers wide-open views of the landscape. In terms of built heritage, the main point of interest is the Château de la Berrière. The route starts from the car park at the Perthuis Churin leisure centre, which can be reached by following the signs for Landemont on the D207 from the village.

This hike starts on the north bank of the Sèvre Nantaise but mainly takes place on the south bank. It offers both beautiful views along the river and panoramic views over the vineyards. It is accessible all year round in principle, but in wet weather, some sections may be muddy.

Set off on an adventure on the borders of Loire-Atlantique and Maine-et-Loire. Explore this trail with your family along the Divatte and its tributaries. Near the Divatte, the route passes by a Gallo-Roman bridge, old water mills and the Perthuis Churin leisure centre. Along the Ilette and in the valley, discover unspoilt flora. Bring your picnic and enjoy a fun hike with geocaching (an outdoor treasure hunt using GPS devices).

This hike starts at the port of La Haye-Fouassière and follows a circular route along the south bank of the Sèvre Nantaise to Monnières (on the Way of St James), with an optional detour to the reservoir on the Sèvre at Le Pallet (approximately 15 km without this option). It offers commanding views over the Sèvre and its surroundings and often winds its way through vineyards.

This loop mainly takes place in the vineyards between Saint-Fiacre-sur-Maine and Château-Thébaud, south of Nantes. It offers some lovely views, particularly at the Belvédère de Château-Thébaud, which overlooks the Maine. The circuit follows farm tracks through the vineyards (some of which may be private). The landscape changes with the seasons and the different colours of the vineyards.

This hike takes place mainly on paths. Going from village to village, it offers a beautiful variety of landscapes: there are both wide-open views of the vineyards and the Sèvre Nantaise valley, and wooded passages, particularly along the banks of the Sèvre. It can be enjoyed in any season, with the colours and light offering ever-changing pleasures!

Enjoy the beautiful views and landscapes without moderation on this route, where climbs, terraced paths, promontories above the Loire and descents near the river are not measured in terms of travel time, but in terms of appreciation of these admirable places.

This route will allow you to discover the natural riches of La Chaussaire, with a short stop on the way back at the Grotto of Lourdes de la Chaussaire, next to the parish church of Saint-Joseph-en-Mauges.

A family hike that crosses villages, forests, woods and vineyards south of Vertou. A circular route starting from the École de l'Enclos, which largely follows the Portillon route.

Between the tame and tranquil Sèvre Nantaise and the wild and secretive Moine, this life-size trail is sure to appeal to many hikers. Footbridges over the rivers make it easier to get around and allow you to better enjoy the steep-sided valleys. Please note: due to the Hellfest festival in Clisson, the Sèvre Nantaise to Moine route is not accessible during the second half of June (dates to be checked each year).

The section that follows the Maine valley is absolutely superb. The rest of the route consists of a few small roads, mostly paths, vineyards and woods. Practical information: two variants are available, which, when combined, reduce the route from 21 km to approximately 16.5 km.

Walk along the Sèvre river and don't forget to admire the beautiful villages, mills and houses decorated with flowers.

An easy hike starting from Saint-Crespin-sur-Moine, which begins on the banks of the Moine and goes to Monfaucon, returning north via as many paths as possible.

You don't like tarmac. You enjoy being able to enjoy shade in bright sunshine, walking through dense undergrowth and following the course of a river. A few climbs and descents don't scare you. Then this beautiful hike along the Vallée du Hâvre from Oudon is sure to satisfy you.

A beautiful route to discover the Folies Siffait, the Saint-Méen chapel and the views of the Loire.

This is a very pretty route in the Oudonnaise countryside, featuring the Pilardière communal estate and the Hâvre valley. The route consists almost entirely of paths and trails, with very little tarmac. It is accessible in all weathers, except along the banks of the Hâvre during periods of high water. Many sections are tree-lined, making it particularly pleasant in hot weather. Depending on the season, you may be able to admire magnificent carpets of cyclamen at the foot of the trees on the Pilardière estate.

A beautiful hike with a few very small roads in the first third of the route, then only paths, particularly along the banks of the Sèvre. It is part of a series of loops that allow you to explore the banks of the Sèvre.

This is a lovely route that takes you along country lanes and a path alongside the Aiguefou stream (a tributary of the Moine). You will also pass two historic fountains.

Starting from the Beauregrêt campsite, walk close to the waterholes. These exceptionally rich environments reveal their different facets as the seasons change. The route takes you along the Nigaudière and Rompure ponds, where the waters of the Robinets stream slowly warm up before joining the Loire. The surrounding meadows, bordered by hedges of ash trees—mostly pollarded—are exceptionally well preserved.

This walk is a shorter version of the 18.7 km "Between the Loire and the vineyards" walk. You will cross Drain between hillsides, wooded paths, fields and vineyards. Take the time to observe the typical flora and fauna of each of these environments, as well as the unobstructed view of the Loire valleys as you cross the vineyards of Drain.
