Park in the large car park at the station.
(S/E) Cross Boulevard Gambetta and enter Parc François Mitterrand opposite, where you will find the Tropical Greenhouse of the Botanical Garden.
(1) At the park exit, take Rue de Pannette on the left, then Rue du Jardin Botanique on the right. At the crossroads, continue straight on towards the town centre via Rue Henri Ducy and cross the bridge over the Iton.
(2) Turn right and follow the Promenade de l'Iton, crossing Place du Miroir d'eau.
(3) At Esplanade Anne Baudot, first turn right then left to cross to the other side of the river, pass in front of the Évreux Commercial Court, then cross Rue de Grenoble and continue straight ahead for about 100 metres.
(4) Cross the bridge and turn left onto Promenade Charles de Navarre. Return to Rue de Grenoble, turn right, then right again at Place Armand Mandle. Cross the square, then cross Rue du Docteur Oursel at the pedestrian crossing and continue straight ahead onto Rue du Général Leclerc. Follow Rue Saint-Thomas to the right until you reach number 35, then turn left onto Ruelle Jean Gilles. At the end, turn left, go around the roundabout on the left and continue straight on Rue du 7ème Chasseur.
(5) At the traffic lights, turn right onto Rue Saint-Sauveur, which slopes slightly upwards. At the end, turn left and continue for a few dozen metres, passing a wooden barrier on the left and entering the Côte Saint-Sauveur park on the left. At the intersection, turn left onto Sente des Meunières and go down the stairs to the bottom.
(6) Turn right onto Rue de la Rochette and continue along this road until you reach the junction with Rue de Valème. Turn right.
(7) Turn right along Côte Blanche, staying on Rue de Valème, which follows the GR®26 and GR®222 trails. Continue to the foot of Côte du Valème, ignore the double signposting and continue for about 150 m.
(8) Turn left at the hairpin bend and descend onto the Voie Verte. Cross the N1013 bridge and then the D830 bridge.
(9) Take the stairs on the left and then head to the right. Cross the Iton and then Place Sylvère Bonnot, walk alongside the Jean Bouin swimming pool and the Roger Rochard stadium before reaching the bridge over the Iton.
(10) Take the path on the left without crossing it and follow the Iton river with the GR®26, passing in front of a shopping centre.
(11) Cross Boulevard de Normandie at the pedestrian crossing and continue straight ahead, passing the Eure Departmental Directorate for Territories and the Sea. Join Avenue Maréchal Foch, then continue to the right along Rue Joséphine.
(12) At the Palais de Justice, turn right onto Rue de Verdun, pass Place Marcel Baudot and then take Rue Dubais on the right. Cross the Iton and turn left onto Rue Victor Hugo.
(13) At the Victor Hugo Primary School, turn right onto Rue Léon Tissandier, then right onto Rue de Pannette. Then turn left onto Rue Guy de Maupassant.
(14) Take Rue Petit on the right (second on the right) and take the stairs leading to Boulevard Gambetta and follow it to the left to return to the station (S/E).
