The village of Étreaupont is crossed by the Oise and the Ton rivers and is situated on the Thiérache Greenway, a converted railway line linking Guise to Hirson.
The circular route starts at Saint-Martin Church, follows the Axe Vert for a while towards Guise, and partly follows theGR®122to return to the village.

A circular route around Vervins that will take you along old paths and alleyways: the Chemin du Verbinum (an ancient Roman road linking Bavay to Reims), the Ruelle de la Basse Suisse, the Chemin de la Fontaine des Prêtres, etc.
The route passes by the statue of ‘La Danseuse’ by the French sculptor Cladel Marius Léon (1883–1948), who also created the war memorial in Origny-Sainte-Benoîte.
