Pointe de Chaurionde

This hike will take you to the Pointe de Chaurionde via the Col du Haut du Four and the south-west ridge. Don't miss the chamois that inhabit the slopes. At the summit, you can admire Lake Annecy and Mont Blanc. You will cross the Vallon d'Orgeval (the valley of bears), which has now become a peaceful valley home to Tarine and Abondance cows and marmots. In June, the flora is magnificent and varied.
Chaurionde means "round summit".

The Chaos of the Chéran, the Bridge of the Abyss

From the footbridge at Cusy, take the right bank up the Chéran gorges and the left bank down after crossing the spectacular "Pont de l'Abîme". This well-maintained itinerary allows you to discover the wildest part of one of Europe's last natural rivers.
Chalet du Trousset via the Sentier des Renards
Right from the start, there is a steep climb from Cusy to reach the Chalet du Trousset. The route then mostly follows beautiful trails and paths through the woods, offering lovely views in places.
The Visorando app is highly recommended.
Taillefer ridge (Crete du Taillefer) from Camping La ravoire and Camping Les fontaines

The famous Taillefer ridge hike is a great hike to do directly from camping la ravoiure and les fontaines. Mostly woodland hiking (therefore nicely shaded in many parts, with superb views of the lake and mountains. Steep ascent to the L'oratoire but no particular technical difficulties. Some passages can be slippery in wet weather. Walking poles are good to bring! This hike is approx 3-5 hours long.

It then brings you up into pastures before making the steep ascent to Sur le Freu and the more gentle ascent to the top of Orsiere via la Riondaz. The descent takes you back through pastures before heading back down through the forest to the start. Great views towards Manigod and the mountains behind Annecy, Mont Charvin.
Pointe d'Orsière loop via the Passage du Freu from Gutary

From the hamlet of La Gutary in Manigod, I suggest a beautiful loop trail on one of the foothills of the Aravis massif. The route starts with a climb up the Fier valley with a few steep sections, then joins the Passage du Freu, which requires a little care. It then continues through alpine pastures, passing the Pointe d'Orsière.
