Park in the small car park at Pont d'Escorchevel in Le Châtelard.
(S/E) Cross the Chéran and take the path opposite that cuts across the bend in the D911 towards L'Étoile.
Return to the D911 towards Le Châtelard.
(1) Before the Tourist Office, take the path on the right that climbs up to Les Garins, markedGR®®96in red and white. Follow the path to the Les Garins car park, which is quite steep and intersected by the road leading to Les Garins.
(2) Turn right and enter the Domaniale du Stream des Granges forest (forest road), continuing to follow theGR®®96. Reach the Col du Plane at 1337m.
(3) Continue north on thisGR®®96forest road. Pass the Mouilles and Raverette chalets. After a few hairpin bends, take the wide forest road on the right towards Sanguinaire and cross the bridge. You will reach the junction ofthe GR®® and the track.
(4) Leave theGR®® and turn right onto the track to reach the Le Reposoir car park.
(5) Here you will rejoin theGRP®® Tour du Massif des Bauges trail, marked in red and yellow.
Head south and cross a small river. From here, the terrain becomes wilder. Continue to Golet de Doucy.
(6) Continue right on theGRP®, reaching a trail junction before the Les Cornes car park.
(7) Take a path on the right that runs alongside the stream to the village of Le Cul du Bois.
(8) Take the D60 road through La Chapelle, Magnoux and Doucy Dessous.
(9) Take the path on the right that crosses it and joins it in the direction of La Compôte.
(10) Here, rejoin theGR®®96and turn right to return to Pont d'Escorchevel (S/E).
