The tour of the jas in Cruis
A pleasant hike along paths that wind through the foothills of the Lure mountain, allowing you to discover jas restored by volunteers from the commune of Cruis in sublime locations.
Follow the yellow and red markings at first, then only the yellow markings.
Cairn 2000 via Jas en Tôle
This beautiful hike on the Lure mountain takes you via the Jas en Tôle, offering a panoramic view of the Durance valley. An even more remarkable view awaits at Cairn 2000, well known to hikers.
Montagne de Lure, southern ascent
Ascent of Montagne de Lure from Saint-Étienne-les-Orgues. Circular route to the summit via Notre-Dame de Lure and the resort of Lure, covering part of the ridges of Montagne de Lure.
This route offers varied landscapes, crossing a beech forest, alpine meadows and dwarf junipers on the ridges, all offering panoramic views of Mont Ventoux and the Albion Plateau, the Southern Alps and the peaks of the Écrins.

The Cairn 2000 via the Lure ridges
This is a short hike along the ridge of Lure Mountain, with guaranteed 360° panoramic views, to Cairn 2000, which commemorates the transition tothe third millennium.
Even though this is a round trip, the advantage of a ridge is that the landscape is completely different on each side
The ridges of the Lure mountain
The hike quickly reaches a superb viewpoint offering a clear view of the mountains of south-eastern France:- Sainte-Baume and Sainte-Victoire (Bouches-du-Rhône)- Le Lubéron or Mont Ventoux (Vaucluse)- Le Verdon (Var/Alpes de Haute Provence)- Les Trois Becs (Drôme)- Le Dévoluy or Les Écrins (Hautes Alpes)- Mont Aiguille and Grand Veymont (Isère).Then we set off to explore the resort's old ski lifts, finally returning via the old coal mines.
Cairn 2000 by Ubac de Lure
This short circular walk takes you to Cairn 2000 after crossing
a little-used part of the Lure ridge. The climb, which is well shaded, is on the north-facing side, making it more pleasant in summer.

Le Vieux Noyers and the Saint-Claude Chapel

The dovecotes of Limans
The small village of Limans is known for its six dovecotes.
The Mourres rocks
Located north of Focalquier, the Mourres rocks are a geological curiosity. The area is full of enormous mushroom-shaped rocks several metres high. The word Mourre means 'snout' in Provençal.
The Sentier des Pénitents des Mées
The upper trail offers a completely different view from the valley. The Pénitents show their heads and draperies, which is almost more surprising than from below! And then there is a lovely view of the nearby Durance valley. The trail is easy, but there is often a drop on at least one side. Take care with children.
Montagne de Lure
Ascent of Montagne de Lure from Saint-Vincent-sur-Jabron. A beautiful circular route allowing you to reach the summit via the north-facing slope of Lure and its marl, then cross most of the ridges of Montagne de Lure from east to west.

Pierre Impie and Roc de l'Aigle
Hiking is not recommended between 15 February and 15 June due to nesting.
A demanding hike, but one that offers splendid views, from the Durance and Buech valleys to the Pic de Bure, the Écrins, the Massif de l’Estrop, the Verdon and Lure.
Around Château-Arnoux Lake - Volonne
An easy route that combines the "Au fil de l'eau" heritage trail created by the Château-Arnoux Heritage Association with an exploration of the flora and fauna of the banks of the middle Durance.
Tour of Lake L'Escale
A very easy, flat walk around Lake L'Escale. You may spot many birds, so bring your binoculars! Although the road is often nearby, the path is always separate from the carriageway.
Geodetic point "Le Pin Blanc"
A very easy walk to prepare for longer hikes. Very pretty view of the Volx rock.
The Cabanons de Mane
If you like Bories, you'll see them in the distance at the start, then up close, and you can even go inside some of them. On your way back, before you get to the village, you'll walk up a superb calade (cobbled) street, and there's a little detour to see the Château de Mane.
Circular Mane in Saint-Michel l'Observatoire
Discover the Via Domitia, the drystone shelters, the Roman bridge, the Roman ford at Reculon, the hamlet of Les Craux, the village of Lincel and return via the astronomical observatory.
Sur la crête de la Montagne du Mollard
This hike is for those who:- want to walk 10 km at a good pace. It is a mostly flat trail, good for pacing.
- are afraid of the sun and heat. It is 90% covered by dense vegetation.
- enjoy peace and quiet. The area is much less frequented than the Baume mountain.This mountain is not named on maps. Here you will hike its entire length, along the north side and then along the ridge.
Sur les hauteurs de Sisteron
A short hike that's perfect for exploring Sisteron from all angles! Passing by the cemetery, you'll find a quiet little path that leads to Route de Ribier. Head back towards Sisteron, then take the Sentier du Molard trail and return via the stunning Thor plateau. Walkers with dogs will be delighted.

A good outing to stretch your legs a bit, just a stone’s throw from Oraison.
Trou de l'Argent cave - Montagne de la Baume
This hike takes you to the top of La Baume. Magnificent views of Sisteron, the surrounding valleys and the Alps. You then cross to the other side of the mountain, revealing yet another landscape. But first, you will need to pass through the Grotte du Trou de l'Argent, which adds a touch of adventure to the route. During your journey, you will also use handrails, small ladders and cross a balcony.
