Description of the walk

Drive to the Pas de la Graille car park.

(1) Turn left and leave the ridge. Cross the D53 and continue straight ahead to the three-way junction.

(2) Turn right towards Les Chaumettes.

(3) At the crossroads, turn right towards the Sommet de Lure. Join the D53 again.

(4) Follow the road to the left for a few metres, then turn right onto the track towards the transmission masts. Navigate the left-hand bend, then take the path on the right which climbs straight up the slope to reach the transmission masts.

In November, before the snow falls, this is a lovely walk with breathtaking views. The north face of Lure is ablaze with sumptuous autumn colours.
