Park in the car park at Mirandol-Bourgnounac town hall.
This is a very clearly signposted trail (yellow markings and information boards).
(S) With your back to the town hall, take the road on the right and continue straight on towards La Bonneterie. At this point, the road gives way to a path that descends towards the Viaur.
(1) At the junction with theGRP® (yellow and red markings), turn left to begin the climb towards Le Carrelié.
(2) At Carrelié, take the road on the right. 600m further on, at the wayside shrine before the entrance to Le Fau, turn left onto the wide track that descends towards the Viaur.
(3) Look out for an 11th-century fountain on the path to the right. Continue down to the road and turn right towards the bridge with a view of the old mill.
(4) With your back to the bridge, head right towards the Fontaine de Balzac, along the riverbank.
(5) Retrace your steps.
(4) Head up to the right towards Le Carrelié along a wide track of stones and earth, ignoring all the paths branching off to the right.
(6) In front of the metal cross, take the path on the left and continue straight on, passing close to a wash house. A centuries-old oak tree stands opposite the wash house.
(7) After crossing the Combret stream, head up the dirt track almost directly opposite to return to the town hall car park (S/E).

A pleasant walk, especially in summer; a bit dreary in autumn or winter. And if you fancy a bit of a scare for Halloween, head there – it’s guaranteed.
