Bouzillé walks

The village of Bouzillé has many distinctive features. The route, starting from the picnic area at Square Gibot, will take you along dirt tracks to La Bourgonnière and its ‘Christ habillé’. The route will then lead you to a very peaceful spot in the countryside, namely La Boire Sainte-Catherine, a popular fishing spot on fine days. The rest of the walk will take you back to the 19th century, which marked the heyday of lime production in Anjou.

This pleasant route initially follows an old branch of the Loire known as the Boire Torse. It then crosses the Grande Prée de Varades before running alongside the Loire for several kilometres. It presents no difficulty as it is completely flat. If necessary, you can replace the path along the banks of the Loire with the Loire à Vélo route, which is well signposted.

The River Èvre, which crosses the Pays des Mauges diagonally, joins the Loire at Notre-Dame du Marillais (Saint-Florent-le-Vieil), the starting point of the walk. The walk follows the Èvre at the start and joins the Loire in its final section, following part ofthe GR®3.

During this hike, walkers will have the opportunity to discover a rich heritage, bearing witness to local history and traditions. Along the way, several crosses and calvaries will reveal themselves, offering beautiful contemplative stops and a glimpse into the spiritual and cultural dimension of the region. The path also leads past the Maison du Potier, a true place of memory and transmission. This stage allows you to appreciate the ancestral art of working with clay and immerse yourself in the creative world of the potters who have made Le Fuilet famous. For a well-deserved break in nature, the route leads to the Barbotine Pond. This green setting is the ideal place to share a family picnic or simply relax by the water.

A pleasant family walk that takes you through the parks and gardens of Ancenis and Saint-Géréon, the Château d'Ancenis, Les Halles and Île Delage, ending along the Loire.

Take a walk to discover the riverine landscape along the Èvre and the Loire. Follow theGR®3along the left bank of the Loire to Le Marillais, taking in the rich heritage of Saint-Florent-le-Vieil: the abbey and abbey church, the Promenade Julien Gracq and the Chapel of Notre-Dame du Marillais. On your return from your walk, enjoy the panoramic view of the Loire Valley from the Montglonne esplanade.

This walk is a shorter version of the 18.7 km "Between the Loire and the vineyards" walk. You will cross Drain between hillsides, wooded paths, fields and vineyards. Take the time to observe the typical flora and fauna of each of these environments, as well as the unobstructed view of the Loire valleys as you cross the vineyards of Drain.

Starting from the Beauregrêt campsite, walk close to the waterholes. These exceptionally rich environments reveal their different facets as the seasons change. The route takes you along the Nigaudière and Rompure ponds, where the waters of the Robinets stream slowly warm up before joining the Loire. The surrounding meadows, bordered by hedges of ash trees—mostly pollarded—are exceptionally well preserved.

Set off on an adventure on the borders of Loire-Atlantique and Maine-et-Loire. Explore this trail with your family along the Divatte and its tributaries. Near the Divatte, the route passes by a Gallo-Roman bridge, old water mills and the Perthuis Churin leisure centre. Along the Ilette and in the valley, discover unspoilt flora. Bring your picnic and enjoy a fun hike with geocaching (an outdoor treasure hunt using GPS devices).

This is a very pretty route in the Oudonnaise countryside, featuring the Pilardière communal estate and the Hâvre valley. The route consists almost entirely of paths and trails, with very little tarmac. It is accessible in all weathers, except along the banks of the Hâvre during periods of high water. Many sections are tree-lined, making it particularly pleasant in hot weather. Depending on the season, you may be able to admire magnificent carpets of cyclamen at the foot of the trees on the Pilardière estate.

A superb walk, with no difficulty other than the length, almost entirely along the water’s edge. Starting from Oudon, passing through Champtoceaux, crossing at the Ancenis bridge, picnic and return to Oudon. Follow theGR®3on the south bank and theGR®3Eon the north bank; red and white markings are clearly visible. Of the 22 km, around 5 km is on country roads on the Ancenis-Oudon section. The rest is on paths or trails.

You don’t like tarmac. You enjoy having the shade when the sun is beating down, walking through wooded areas and following the course of a river. A few ups and downs don’t put you off. Then this beautiful walk along the Hâvre Valley, starting from Oudon, is sure to please you. Please note: at (7), the Pont Noyer footbridge is removed from1 November to 15 April, depending on the river’s low-water level.

A beautiful route to discover the Folies Siffait, the Saint-Méen chapel and the views of the Loire.

A walk starting from Le Fief-Sauvin towards the banks of the Èvre de Bralles at La Gabardière, passing by the Guicholet Mill and the Bréau Menhir.

A walk through the appellation’s vineyards in the Anjou Coteaux de Loire region, this footpath allows you to explore the commune’s vineyard landscape, the rose bushes at the Claude Michel nurseries, the mills, and a panoramic view of the Thau valley. A section of the path follows the Grande Randonnée trail, theGR®3.

This fully signposted route runs between the banks of the Divatte, vineyards and hedgerows in the commune of Barbechat. It mainly follows unpaved paths and offers wide-open views of the landscape. In terms of built heritage, the main point of interest is the Château de la Berrière. The route starts from the car park at the Perthuis Churin leisure centre, which can be reached by following the signs for Landemont on the D207 from the village.

This route will allow you to discover the natural riches of La Chaussaire, with a short stop on the way back at the Grotto of Lourdes de la Chaussaire, next to the parish church of Saint-Joseph-en-Mauges.

New walk: In the footsteps of the Petit-Anjou (historic train), created by the municipality of Beaupréau. Route starting from the former Beaupréau station, now Place du 8 Mai, towards La Chabossière

On small rural roads and numerous farm tracks, you will discover landscapes alternating between panoramic views and wooded valleys. This two-sided route allows you to start by travelling along small roads offering wide panoramic views of the Maugeoise countryside.The hike then takes you to the Èvre river. You can admire the winding course of the water through the fields and rocky hillsides.

A lovely countryside route in the commune of Pannecé. It comprises two main sections: - the greenway, a former railway line now dedicated to walkers and cyclists, - the Donneau stream, which you’ll follow at the end of the route, on private land open to the public. Be sure to take a short detour to admire the very pretty Moulin de la Garenne.

The long Ombrages route in the north-eastern part of Landreau is a bit long, so here is a beautiful shorter section of this route.
