The heights of Boucieu-le-Roi, north side
A beautiful hike through the forests above Boucieu-le-Roi in northern Ardèche.
What's more, this charming village is a stop on the Ardèche train (Mastrou) and/or rail bike route. A visit to the village is therefore recommended.
This hike can be shortened, as it consists of two circular loops that return to the village.

The Daronne Valley via Saint-Sorny
Take advantage of this beautiful little walk to discover the Daronne valley, with its meanders, gorges and interpretive trail. If you wish, you can extend the walk by returning to the Saint-Sorny footbridge.
The Daronne Gorges, loop from Deyras
A lovely walk through the woods in Ardèche, near Saint-Félicien, with two descents into the Daronne gorges, following part of the nature trail through this natural site. You can visit the hamlet of Saint-Sorny. On the way back, there are beautiful views of the Alps, weather permitting.

The Daronne Gorges
A beautiful hike entirely on paths in the Daronne Gorges. A pretty, very wild spot not far from Tournon and the Rhône Valley. A local must-see. What's more, this route is not the "classic" route and is therefore a little wilder...
From Saint Félicien to Vaudevant
This charming loop, starting from Saint-Félicien, takes you on a journey of discovery through authentic landscapes and a charming rural heritage. Following quiet paths, you will first plunge into the Vivance valley, a green setting where the river winds peacefully between meadows and undergrowth. This shady, refreshing passageway offers a moment of true serenity in the heart of nature. Continuing on your way, you will reach the picturesque village of Vaudevant. Nestled in the hills of the Ardèche, this small village charms visitors with its character, old stones, narrow streets and authentic atmosphere. The return to Saint-Félicien is gentle, with the rolling hills of the Haut-Vivarais as a backdrop. An accessible walk, both bucolic and cultural, ideal for getting some fresh air while discovering a preserved local heritage.

From Brudon to Sauze
Starting from the village of Vaudevant, this pleasant loop takes you on a journey of discovery through varied and peaceful countryside. The trail alternates between high ground, offering beautiful views of the Ardèche hills, and shaded passages through the undergrowth, ideal for enjoying a little coolness. You will pass through the hamlets of Brudon and Sauze, which bear witness to the local rural heritage, before returning leisurely to the starting point. Easily accessible and without any major difficulties, this walk is suitable for anyone looking to enjoy a beautiful break in the heart of the Ardèche countryside.
Circular starting from Col des Fans
A pleasant, fairly flat route with little tarmac and some lovely views in beautiful countryside. The natural surroundings are stunning and the route is varied.
The only downside is the 500 m stretch along the D533 at the end of the route to return to the starting point. It is possible to reach point 1 from point 8 to avoid the D533, adding an extra kilometre.
Up to (6), the signposting is adequate, but after that it is sometimes discreet, so pay attention. A map and GPS are useful on this section.
Boucles des crêtes et vallon du Berthier
A double circular route in the hills above Tournon. Beautiful views of the Doux and Duzon gorges. 80% of the route is on trails and paths. The few tarmac sections are very quiet.

The Col du Marchand from Pailharès
A very pleasant hike with remarkable views. The climb to the Col du Marchand is along beautiful trails winding through dense forests and open pastures, offering a peaceful and varied atmosphere. Once at the pass, the route continues towards the Sardier massif, where a superb panorama opens up over the surrounding area. The descent passes through the hamlets of Les Bauds and Nectardechois, adding an authentic touch to the route. This is a pleasant, well-balanced hike that is particularly remarkable for its many viewpoints.
Peaks around Pailharès
From the village of Pailharès at 690 m to the Buisson, Faux and Marchand passes via the Serre du Sardier at 1200 m. Discover the Ardèche landscape stretching to the edges of the Mézenc and Gerbier de Jonc massifs.
Combes and Beauliac from Saint-Romain-de-Lerps
A short, gentle walk around Saint-Romain-de-Lerps, mostly on the GR®420 trail, which takes you from the Belvédère du Pic (with an extraordinary 360° view) to the Col de Gazareau, passing through the hamlets of Combes and Beauliac.
Beautiful views around Saint-Romain-de-Lerps
A lovely hike offering beautiful views of the Rhône Valley, the Alps and the Ardèche. A 15-minute drive from Valence, this hike leads you around the beautiful surroundings of this small village. Note that Saint-Romain-de-Lerps is one of the classic walks in the area, because there is a beautiful lookout point with a chapel, 2 orientation tables and a picnic area alongside.
Around Alboussière: the Megaliths and the Rocking Stone
A pleasant walk in the Ardèche countryside, sometimes on small paved roads, but also on beautiful forest paths.
In Champis - La Bâtie de Crussol, a short detour will take you to the Pierre Branlante (rocking stone), then on the way back, you will see some megaliths in the meadows.
Lac des Meinettes
An easy hike that allows you to discover Lac des Meinettes and the trail that runs around it. A beautiful view of the Ardèche plateau above the nearby Rhône valley.
Mirabel circuit
This short circuit, near Alboussière, alternates between wooded passages, opening onto pretty panoramas, and typical hamlets: the countryside wins us over!
The ruins of Iserand Castle
Hike in the Mazèvieux valley north-east of Vion, which will take you past the ruins of Iserand Castle.
La Croix de Cerisier from the Pin neighbourhood
A lovely walk around the Auberge du Pin, home to the famous Restaurant Pic. Beautiful views of the Vercors after the Serre de Coudiol and towards Perrier. A few tarmac roads but not too much traffic except on the Route des Crêtes.
