Park at Place Henri Morel next to the church in Deyras, a village in the commune of Saint-Victor.
(S/E) Take the Chemin du Regard. Follow the arrows featuring a drawing (here, a message in a bottle – see photos) and the white and yellow markings. Follow a small tarmac road that descends gently.
(1) At Méjon, do not take the Chemin de Courbine but the marked path on the right just after it.
(2) Pass to the left of a private property. The path winds down through the woodland.
(3) Stop at the sign for “Un souffle de méditerranée” for your first view of the Daronne. Then pass the “Un refuge de vie” signs and, immediately after, at the junction, look out for a footbridge on the left, which takes you across the Daronne. You’re welcome to take a short detour along this bank to see the beach near the “L’empreinte des hommes” sign (route). Return to the previous junction.
(4) Turn right, cross the footbridge and head towards Saint-Sorny. You can take advantage of the hospitality of the association (ASSY) that runs the site, provided you ask their permission.
(5) Head towards Colombier-le-Vieux, keeping to the far right, following the path that climbs up to another marked path, which you take to the right. After the first left-hand bend, take the path that climbs furthest to the left (marked in white and yellow). Walk through the woodland to La Grange.
(6) At La Grange, find a wide path and take it to the right, continuing to follow the white and yellow markings. Join a small road and follow it to the right towards Colombier-le-Vieux.
(7) As you approach Palisse, turn left towards the village. In the village, take the marked path on the left. At the next fork, turn right between two orchards towards Chardon.
(8) In this village, head towards Colombier-le-Vieux, 1.4 km straight ahead following the road.
(9) At La Croisette, signs for Deyras begin to appear. Continue straight on towards the bell tower of Colombier-le-Vieux. In this village, continue straight on along Rue de la Forge to the market square.
(10) There, turn right towards Deyras, via Bonnefond (signs behind the shed on the square).
The small road descends to a farm and then turns into a track that drops sharply to the right towards the valley. Leave the plateau to find the shade of the woodland until you reach the banks of the Daronne.
(11) Cross the river via a ford. You are now at the Moulin de Victouron. Please note: do not take the path marked “Pont de Victouron”. This path, which passes through Le Cros, is private and maintained by the owner for their own use. Continue up the path to the D578, which you cross. Pass to the left of the hamlet of Les Taillards and join a small road, continuing straight ahead. On the right, you can see the Vierge de Deyras and, beyond that, the Alps.
(12) At the next junction, turn right, then go straight on at the first bend, to the left of Claudettes. At the small road, turn left, then immediately, at the bend, take the path straight ahead.
(13) Pass in front of a sculpture entitled "La chair du tambour". A few smaller works are situated a little further on. You’ll reach the tarmac road 100m further on. Continue straight ahead, then take the path straight ahead in the bend.
(14) At the next junction, turn right towards "Deyras, 2.4km". Join the D578, which you follow to the right for a few dozen metres, then turn left towards Victouron and Payat (Route du Payat). At the end of the road, turn left.
(15) After Payat, take a path on the left running alongside a meadow. At the bottom of the valley, join a track which you take to the left and which, after a hairpin bend to the right, climbs the slope. Further up, turn right along the edge of the meadow towards the east. This path leads back to a small road which you follow to the left. At the end, turn right towards Deyras. Pass the statue of the Virgin Mary on your right (exhibition of animal-drawn agricultural machinery in the meadow to the right of the road). You will easily reach the church, whose bell tower is visible (S/E).
