Saint-Sernin-du-Bois - Écuisses
This hike is part of the Grande Traversée de la Bourgogne du Sud (Great Crossing of Southern Burgundy) route, which, together with the Grande Traversée de l'Yonne and the Grande Traversée du Morvan, make up the Via Burgundia. This long route, which runs from Montereau-Fault-Yonne to Macon, allows you to discover the Eternal Burgundy and stretches for almost 500 km. You can find out more on the website.
Louvetière discovery circuit
The route proposed here has several objectives, including encouraging walkers to discover short and long-distance hiking trails by following the markings. On this circuit, in addition to the wolf-themed signage specific to the Circuit de la Louvetière, you will also encounter yellow markings that can be found throughout France.
Couhard, Montmain and Château du Petit Montjeu
Lovely route starting from the Pierre de Couhard through a bucolic path leading to the Cascade de Brisecou. Lovely views over Autun and the historic quarter.

Autun - Saint-Sernin-du-Bois
This hike marks the start of the Grande Traversée de la Bourgogne du Sud (Great Crossing of Southern Burgundy), which, together with the Grande Traversée de l'Yonne and the Grande Traversée du Morvan, make up the Via Burgundia. Starting from Montereau-Fault-Yonne, this route takes you to Mâcon, crossing history through heritage and diverse landscapes.
Château de Sully
A short, gently sloping route that takes in an old mine headframe and the Château de Sully, owned by the Duchess of Magenta and the birthplace of President Mac Mahon. You'll also discover the greenway that leads to Saint-Léger-du-Bois.
The two mountains
An ascent of two mounts, Mont de Rome Château (514m) and Mont Rême (546m), giving you a good panoramic view of the Cossane valley, which joins the Dheune.
Short Uchon trail
This short circuit, accessible to all, passes by several ponds and most of Uchon's rocky sites. 85% of the route is in the shade. It's a short walk, but you can enjoy a meal beforehand or afterwards at the Auberge de la Croix de Messire Jean (hostel).

Écuisses - Buxy
This is the third section of the southern Burgundy crossing, which is part of the VIA Burgundia. From the confluence of the Yonne and Seine rivers in Montereau-Fault-Yonne, it crosses the whole of Burgundy to reach Macon. It is also the Eternal Burgundy trail, where history blends with heritage to reveal the region's beautiful natural surroundings.
The end of the world
Hiking at the end of the world, a Jura retreat in the heart of the Côte d'Or! Majestic limestone cliffs gradually carved out by the Cozanne river.Route through undergrowth and along cliff edges (no real danger as long as you stay on the path).
From Saint-Laurent d'Andenay to Écuisses
During this hike, you will leave from the entrance to Saint-Laurent d'Andenay and head to the village of Écuisses along the RCEA (Route Centre Europe Atlantique), then cross Écuisses les Sept-Écluses via the greenway along the Canal du Centre. In Écuisses, you have the option of visiting the Canal Museum and Villa Perrusson. Then, still following the greenway, you will reach the Jeanne Rose bridge and your starting point via the D18.
A circular to the west of Saint-Laurent-d'Andenay
Saint-Laurent d'Andenay, a small village near Montchanin, is crossed by the Paris-Marseille TGV line. During this walk, you can take a picnic break on the banks of the pond, where tables are available.
La Sorme from the dike
An easy, pleasant walk near the Etang de la Sorme. Beautiful scenery and little change in altitude.A few stretches on tarmac, but not very busy.
Old Saint-Pierre route from Lacanche
A very pleasant route, mostly through woodland, marked in yellow.
Lacanche is a former working-class town, built around the SIL factory (bought by Seb in 2024-2025). You can stroll through the streets to discover this unique architecture and perhaps visit the church (key available at the Town Hall).
