Park near Marmagne church.
(S/E) Take the road south down towards La Troche, walk along the cemetery wall where there is a replica of a Gallo-Roman stele.
Cross the railway line, then the bridge over the Mesvrin, a1st category river. Continue along the road to the end of the tarmac section, where the wide path becomes steep.
(1) At Châtenoy, pass on the right-hand side of the only house and enter the forest opposite via a narrow path.
After a long climb, you will reach a pine forest. Continue along the path that veers slightly to your right, until you come to a new path, where you should turn right.
(2) When you reach the La Brosse crossroads, cross the wide path and take the path opposite, which then turns right towards the north-west.
(3) Turn left at the junction with another path, then immediately turn left at a new intersection.
After a flat section, begin the descent. As you leave the forest, admire the view of the Brume valley on your left, then further on to the right, the Mesvrin valley.
(4) At the end of the descent, you will come to a new path. Turn left, then take thefirst path on the right downhill. Cross a road and continue straight ahead, taking care as the path has many ruts.
(5) When you reach the junction with the RD120, take the road opposite towards Coux. Cross the bridge over the Brume (a tributary of the Mesvrin), then turn left at Hauterive.
(6) When you reach Coux, at the edge of a pine forest, take the path on the left that enters the forest. Take the long, straight road that climbs steadily. Do not take the paths that branch off at 90° to the right and left. Continue straight ahead. You will come to a path. Turn left at the hairpin bend.
After a slight incline, descend to Maison Dru.
(7) In the centre of the hamlet, turn right onto a steep path to reach the Chapelle Saint-Anne, which is open to the public and overlooks the hamlet. Return to the bottom of the hill.
(7) Follow the road again, turning right (east). After the last houses, take the dirt track on the right, on the east side. Cross the D120 and take the small road opposite towards La Crôte.
(8) When you reach La Crôte, at the farm buildings, take the road on the right. The road gives way to a dirt track. Turn left at the next junction, then climb up to the junction with the tarmac road to Les Étangs de Marnay.
(9) Continue straight ahead, walking alongside a fenced property where the two Étangs de Marnay ponds are located. Continue down a short, steep descent. At the bottom, cross a small stream and turn right onto the wide path. Then walk between the two dilapidated farm buildings of the "Bois des Vignes".
(10) Walk along a hedge, then cross a meadow, veering slightly to the left. Descend through the wooded area, then continue along the path, which then becomes grassy, offering a beautiful view of Marmagne and the Mesvrin valley.
(11) At the bottom, turn left towards Mesvrin, cross the footbridge over the river, walk alongside the stadium and take the road near the railway line. Cross it to reach the car park at Marmagne church square (S/E).
