Boël Trail (Sentier du Boël)
A very pleasant hike. First section at the top of cliffs, with lovely views over the Vilaine river and the site "Moulin du Boël". Cross a shady woodland, then return along the towpath.
To avoid as much as possible passing along the military site's fence ("Le Celar"), this new description uses a slightly more technical part of the GR®.

Bain-de-Bretagne via the back roads
I suggest you discover this charming little town and its lake in an original way, by taking the small side roads.
Small change due to a ban on crossing the small wood next to the Moulin de Bertaud.
Île Delage and the banks of the Loire in Ancenis
A pleasant family walk that takes you through the parks and gardens of Ancenis and Saint-Géréon, the Château d'Ancenis, Les Halles and Île Delage, ending along the Loire.
Apigné ponds and banks of the Vilaine
Enjoy a pleasant walk along the Vilaine river and the Étangs d'Apigné lakes. This lake area is very popular with the people of Rennes for sports and picnics. You are sure to come across joggers and cyclists along the path.

This small 2 km² lake between Nantes and Châteaubriant will delight you with the beauty of the site and all the activities on offer: hiking, horse riding, mountain biking, fishing, swimming, sailing, etc. The walking tour takes you along some very pleasant paths.
Land and river around Port-de-Roche
The route allows you to discover the countryside between Langon, Beslé and Brain-sur-Vilaine, passing through pretty little typical villages, crossing woods and forests and ending on the towpath along the Vilaine, for more than 9 km. Most of the trail is on beautiful stone paths. The Vilaine is very popular in these areas. You will see pleasure boats and fishermen in their boats. Don't miss the egrets and grey herons on the banks of the Vilaine.
The banks of the Oudon in Segré
A pleasant and varied walk that allows you to discover this pretty little town by passing through unusual and very pleasant places. No difficulty whatsoever.
Martigné-Ferchaud Pond
A beautiful and very pleasant hike, mostly along a wide, shaded stone path. The trail goes around the pond. Best done in dry weather.
In the Vilaine region between Laillé and Bourg-des-Comptes
This is a beautiful circular that partly follows theGR®39along charming paths. The return journey is along the towpath, going up the Vilaine.
This path takes you through beautiful landscapes, typical villages, charming residences and locks, and ends up running alongside this river, which is so poorly named.
Walk through the historic centre of Rennes
A walk through the centre of Rennes, passing important sites such as the new convention centre (former Jacobins Convent, Parliament of Brittany, etc.) and ending pleasantly at the Thabor Gardens. The route also allows you to appreciate the architectural richness of old Rennes and some admirable façades.
Gâvre State Forest
This loop in the Gavre National Forest allows you to enjoy a pleasant time in this natural environment, with more than 80% of the walk on trails (no tarmac).

The Col de Riou from Cauterets

A very pretty route above Sallanches, ideal for warming up when you arrive in the mountains. A wide, easy track for most of the route. In the Aravis range, facing Mont Blanc.
The Citadel and the old port of Bastia
This short, easy walking route takes you around Bastia’s old town, the old harbour, the magnificent Aldilonda footpath and the citadel.

This route takes you along greenways, narrow streets and gardens. It's a pleasant way to discover this charming town crossed by the Mayenne River on foot.
A lovely walk in Moisdon-la-Rivière
Moisdon-la-Rivière is a small village situated a few kilometres from Châteaubriant, on the D178. About 2 km from the village liesthe Étang de la Forge, a former site of industrial forges. There is a museum, a café, and a beautiful pond surrounded by schist rocks. The route around this site is very pleasant and open to all from April to September (check the exact dates each year). The pond is fed by the River Don. The route runs between the pond and the river, making for a very pleasant walk.
Loop through historic Chambéry
Visit the historic centre of Chambéry, passing by the Château des Ducs de Savoie, the Town Hall, Saint-François de Salles Cathedral, the Museum of Fine Arts... and charming little pedestrian passages. A very pleasant route.
From the Refuge de l’Oule to the village of Artigues
Second day of a three-day circular route. You can book a packed lunch if you’re staying overnight at the Refuge de l’Oule, as well as top up your water flasks. Afterwards, the trail is lovely as it runs alongside the lake. It passes through the Col de Bastanet and takes in magnificent lakes all along the route. At the Campana de Cloutou mountain refuge, you can sit at a table to eat your packed lunch and refill your water flask. The trail then descends, passing by pretty lakes, to the village of Artigues.
From Tournaboup to Lac de l’Oule
First day of a three-day circular route, from the Tournaboup car park to Lac de l’Oule. The first section up to the Col de Madamète is quite stony and requires good footwear, but after that it’s a real pleasure to walk past the magnificent Néouvielle lakes, including, amongst others, Lac d’Aumar, Lac d’Aubert and Lac de l’Oule.
From the village of Artigues to Tournaboup
Third day of a three-day circular route. After a restful night in Artigues, set off having filled your water bottle and packed a packed lunch. To round off this circular route on a high note, take this path between the Col du Tourmalet and the Pic du Midi de Bigorre. A very pleasant walk, with the Pic du Midi towering above you. Return by heading down towards the Tournaboup car park.
Three days in the Néouvielle Nature Reserve
This three-day circular hike takes you through the most beautiful landscapes of the Néouvielle massif and the Pic du Midi area. As you progress through the stages, you’ll pass by numerous high-altitude lakes, cross several mountain passes and enjoy magnificent panoramic views. A varied hike with a few rockier sections at the start, but one that offers three wonderful days in the heart of the mountains.
