Loop from Cognières to Rougemont via the Chapel of Montaucivey
A beautiful loop starting from the town hall in Cognières, combining nature, heritage and tranquillity. The route passes through Montagney and runs alongside the Ognon river before climbing gently towards the woods and the Saint-Hilaire chapel, then the Montaucivey chapel, offering superb unobstructed views of the countryside. Pass through Rougemont and its national necropolis. Between typical villages, forests and rural paths, ponds and rivers, this walk offers a beautiful variety of landscapes and a rich heritage to discover, in a calm and bucolic atmosphere.

Champfleurey educational trail in Noroy-le-Bourg
As part of its nature education programme, the Haute-Saône Hunting Federation has created an educational trail about wildlife and its habitats. In the heart of nature, you will find fun, interactive information points and display boards presenting the animals that live in the areas you pass through. The trail also passes through a remarkable area classified as a Natura 2000 site, notably for its dry grassland habitat and its discreet orchids.
From the Madone de Dampvalley to the Veuvey spring
The route passes by the Madone de Dampvalley, descends to Dampvalley-les-Colombe, then follows the Colombine to the Veuvey spring (karst resurgences) and returns via the plateau.
Frais Puits – Les Belles Barraques – the Château Bleu
Among the natural attractions of this walk are the resurgence of the Font de Champdamoy and its pumping station, which supplies Vesoul and seven other towns (the spring has long been renowned), and the resurgence of the Frais Puits, which has been the subject of numerous explorations by cave divers who found mammoth molars there!

This is a circular route designed for walking but can also be done by mountain bike or on horseback. A mix of forest tracks, farm tracks and footpaths. This walk, mainly through woodland, follows a very short section of the Way of St James. The forest is very well maintained and the paths are clean.

A winding path through the forest reveals the peaceful waters of the Ognon and the Linotte. The rustling of the leaves will accompany you on your walk, whilst the clearings offer peaceful resting spots. The golden reflections on the water complete this enchanting natural scene.
