Park in the car park at the water sports centre at l’Orphelinat.
(S/E) Turn right onto Rue du Pont and head uphill towards the village. Pass the Swan Fountain at the foot of the wall of Montbozon Castle. Continue to the crossroads by the church.
(1) Turn right onto Rue de l’Église. Stay on this street until you reach the junction with the RD49. At the junction, continue straight on along Rue du Collège to reach the cemetery.
(2) Take the path on the right to cross a small wood. Continue on to reach a T-junction at Bois Rond.
(3) Turn sharply right onto a path which later becomes a wider, well-maintained track. You will then reach the junction with the RD49.
(4) Continue straight ahead, passing in front of Acro'cimes, and carry on until you reach the village of Thiénans. Walk through the village to reach the Thiénans viewpoint. Enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the Ognon valley from here
(5) Follow the small, shaded path known as La Galeuse to the right, returning to Montbozon, and then, on the left, you will find the car park for the water sports centre (S/E).
