Hike in the forest of Niederbronn-les-Bains to discover Wasenbourg Castle and then the Col de l'Ungerthal.

This hike in the Northern Vosges will allow you to discover five castles which, although less well known than Fleckenstein, are just as worthy of a visit! Much of the walk takes place on small forest paths, making it very pleasant in hot weather.

From Gambsheim to Kilstett, this beautiful walk alternates between fields, forest and riverside paths. An easy route, ideal for families.

Walk in the Wantzenau forest, including a large part of the heron trail. A very pleasant route through fields and forests, but be careful on hot days.

Short walk from the Col du Pfaffenschlick via Drachenbronn and the Col de Stiefelsberg.

A short loop starting from Saint-Jean-Saverne will take you to the ruins of Warthenberg Castle with a superb view of Alsace.

This trail takes you to rocks and castles with magnificent, unobstructed views of the valley and Obersteinbach. You can visit the Bohemian Rock or "Tziganes", Wasigenstein Castle, Petit Arnsberg Castle and Wachtfels Rock with its breathtaking view. There is a short stretch of tarmac at the start and end of the hike. This is a fairly easy hike, but I have rated it as moderately difficult due to its length.

Discover the Château de Greifenstein, where two beautiful towers can still be seen. Visit the Grotte Saint-Vit, a vast natural excavation in sandstone, overlooking a plateau where a magnificent alpine garden has been laid out. An astonishing view of the Château de Hohbarr awaits you!

The castles of Hanau - The Erbsenfels arch.

Short loop on the heights of Marlenheim around Stephansberg, passing through Wasselonne. Views of Marlenheim, Scharrach and Wasselonne. Passage through Les Roches near Altenberg, where there are opportunities for rock climbing.

Haut Barr, Hexentisch, Brotsch Tower, Schaeferplatz: a whole menu for discovering this tiny part of the Vosges. This easy hike, suitable for the whole family, will delight you with its many viewpoints, such as the Devil's Bridge, the Brotsch Tower, the Huck Rock and many others waiting to be discovered. What's more, the many picnic spots make this hike even more enjoyable.

A lovely, easy hike with many paths wide enough for groups and a restaurant halfway along the route!

A walk made for children. The walk starts and ends at a superb medieval playground, with a splendid view of the Krappenfels. There are two partially renovated castle ruins and the fully renovated Fleckenstein Castle (entrance fee).

Forest hike with some stunning view points over the foothills of the Vosges. Visit the ruins of three castles: Haut-Barr, the large and small Geroldseck and the Brotsch tower (built in 1897 honouring the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Vosges Club in Saverne), and the cave.

Hike starting from Haegen, where you can see beautiful wooden statues (witches, Hansel and Gretel's house, etc.), the Chappe telegraph, Haut-Barr, and some beautiful climbs!

A short walk in the sunshine between fields and vineyards around the village of Osthoffen. Some nice views, such as the vineyards of Scharrachbergheim-Irmstett slightly higher up, or Strasbourg cathedral in the distance.

Circuit for visiting Scharrach Hill, combining cycle paths and vineyard trails. Visit the ruins of the blockhouse at the highest point of Scharrach. Numerous viewpoints over the vineyards, the Vosges mountains and the neighbouring villages. Distant view of Strasbourg and its cathedral (for those with good eyesight).

A walk in the forest, in a designated quiet area, starting from the Schaeferplatz forest house.

A very pretty little hike with splendid views of the vineyards and orchards of Westhoffen and Wangen. Best done in spring, when the fruit trees are in bloom, or in autumn, when the vineyards are changing colour.

If you are looking for a varied hike alternating between wide panoramic views from a ridge and a valley with meadows, undergrowth and vineyards, you will not be disappointed. There is also a touch of local history linked to the most important German fortification of the late 19th century.

A beautiful walk in the Northern Vosges to discover the Colorado of Bitcherland.

A breathtaking walk that will make you feel like you're travelling at the foot of the Grand Canyon. A place to visit again and again, attracting many hikers, this is a beautiful family hike with plenty of tables for picnicking in the shade of the trees.

Why is it called the Alsatian Colorado when it's just across the border in Germany? Our German neighbours call it the Altschlossfelsen or "Old Castle Cliffs". In any case, this easy horse ride between France and Germany, with no significant elevation gain, allows you to discover this beautiful pink sandstone rock formation hidden among the vegetation. This is an easy, short hike, ideal for families with children who enjoy walking.

The Bacchus tours take you on a journey of discovery through the Alsatian vineyards. The Trötele reveals the landscapes around Molsheim: a succession of meadows, vineyards, hills, forests and villages. Crossing the protected natural site of Jesselsberg in Soultz-les-Bains. Trötele means grape press in Alsatian.

This walk takes you along the Bruche River to the Dompeter d'Avolsheim, the oldest church in Alsace. After passing through the village centre, the route takes you to the Saint-Ulrich Chapel, where you can admire its ancient frescoes before returning to Molsheim along the other bank of the Bruche. Colorado du Bitcherland for some. This is a pink sandstone formation 1.5 km long, 35 m high and with four "towers" towering over visitors. No remains of the castle exist, but the unusual shapes, rocky overhangs and colours that change with the light of day enhance this rock formation. Trail marked with the German "Premiumweg" label.

Welcome to the Mutzig-Molsheim region, located in the heart of Alsace, on the Wine Route, about 20 kilometres from Strasbourg. This hike offers you an excursion into the Bruche Valley, with landscapes of forests, fields and villages, as well as a panoramic view from the Schiebenberg hill. Enjoy your hike!

This is an easy walk to discover the Wurmberg. It is located in the Bruche valley near Gresswiller. It is a small hill with terraces. You can see a wide variety of plants and orchards and, if you are lucky, some animals, especially birds.

Guirbaden is a ruined castle built on the Mollberg hill above Mollkirch. Its ruins are considered the most important in Alsace.

This is a pleasant and easy walk in the forest, requiring no great physical fitness as most of the route is on forest roads. Please follow the practical information regarding the signposting.

Le Nideck is well known and quite popular. This circuit takes you past several points of interest and has a few pleasant surprises in store. It has the advantage of passing through some uncrowded areas and along a slightly exposed path with beautiful views. The hike does not include the bottom of the waterfall, which can however be easily reached by adding a 50m climb.

A walk through the forest and vineyard of Nussbach with a lot a chery trees in the spring. From amazing view point on the Vosges and black forest, to tiny (or bigger) chappel passing by lambs and goats, this hike is easy to do. Think to bring a hat as part of the hike is fully exposed to the sun. A pleasant walk for a Sunday afternoon.
