In Montigny-en-Morvan, there are several hikes. We did a combination of two hikes: Les rives du Petit Lac (12km) and Les Rives de Pannecière (8km).

Tour of the Étang du Goulot in Lormes
A short walk around the Étang du Goulot pond, located in the village of Lormes.
This is an easy walk on a well-maintained path: simply follow the path around the lake. There are picnic tables, benches, deckchairs and a fitness trail.
A corner of Morvan around Lormes

An easy route visiting the Narvau Gorges and Waterfall, several ponds, beautiful forests, and a few fields and pastures. We will finish with a visit to the church and the panoramic viewpoint of Mont Saint-Alban.Requires a good sense of direction and, if possible, the use of the GPX track.
Maquis Chaumard

A lovely hike in the footsteps of the Maquis, alternating between hedged farmland and forest, with beautiful panoramic views, especially of Lac de Pannecière.
A loop around the Morvan balconies starting from the hamlet of Huis Blin

This loop hike takes you from the forested areas west of Brassy to the more open countryside around Gâcogne and Vauclaix, with open views towards Lormes and Corbigeois. No refreshments en route, unless you make a diversion via the market town of Gâcogne - check by telephone beforehand that the inn is open. Can also be done from Lavault or Vauclaix. The climbs are shadier in the recommended direction.
Loop between Ouroux and Montsauche-les-Settons via the Chemin du Tacot

Ce trajet est composé de deux parties. La première se fait par les chemins vallonnés de la commune d'Ouroux-en-Morvan et de Montsauche-les-Settons, tandis que la seconde partie vous permet de parcourir l'intégralité du Chemin du Tacot allant de Montsauche-les-Settons à Ouroux-en-Morvan. Ce chemin était, de 1901 à 1939, une des parties de la voie du Tacot, qui assurait la liaison entre Corbigny et Seaulieu. Cette ancienne portion de voie a été ouverte par les bénévoles de l'association, et différents travaux y ont été effectués afin de permettre la bonne circulation des randonneurs.
Ouroux loop via Le Plessis and the Voie du Tacot

The first part of this route allows you to discover part of the commune of Ouroux-en-Morvan, passing through the hamlet of Le Plessis, then Savelot. The second part of the route takes you along the Chemin du Tacot, a single track road that ran from Corbigny to Seaulieu. You will pass the old Cœuzon station and the bridge-tunnel over the Chalaux river. You will also have the opportunity to see an almost identical full-size replica of the old Tacot locomotive. You will continue under arches covered in vegetation and finish by walking alongside the Étang d'Ouroux lake. In front of the village hall, you can also admire the blue carriage, which is unique in that it has the same metre gauge as the Tacot.
The Morvan mountains south of Brassy

Ah, the Morvan! Some people call the mountains of the Morvan uplands "molehills", and while they're not very tall on this route, they do know how to tire the calves.Hiking through forests of Douglas fir, beech and other hardwoods on sandy or granite paths, with or without plant cover, but with prevalent animal and plant life, offering some very fine views from these hills with their unique horizons.
The Chaumeçon Reservoir

Of the 7 large lakes in the Morvan, all of which flow into the Yonne River via various tributaries, this one, fed by the Chalaux, feeds the Crescent Reservoir. The water collected along the way is added to the Cure. This system helps to regulate the Yonne, the 'enfant terrible' of the Seine, as the people of Icaunais like to call it.
The landmark of the 5 lords (La Borne des Cinq Seigneurs)

A very varied loop north of Bona, towards the highest point of the Monts du Nivernais (445m).
Along the Cure river past the old bridge at Pierre-Perthuis

From the charming village of Cure, after crossing the Bois de l'Épenay, you arrive at the beautiful site of Pierre-Perthuis, with its 18th-century arched bridge overlooked by the more recent road bridge. You then climb up the River Cure through the undergrowth. A steep climb leads to a superb viewpoint over the valley. A diversion to the statue of Notre-Dame de la Lumière and another viewpoint precedes the descent to the starting village.
Lac du Crescent - Avallon

Third and final stage of the Avallon-Vézelay-Lac du Crescent-Avallon loop. You will leave Lac du Crescent and head into the countryside and forests of the Morvan for the last time. This final stage of the loop takes us back to Avallon after a pleasant walk, where you will find the River Cousin.
