An ideal and pleasant hike on a hot day because, as its name suggests, it takes place mainly in the woods. Blajan is a charming little village in the Comminges region.
The Chemin des Diligences in Monléon-Magnoac
During this easy hike, you will discover the small village of Monléon-Magnoac, panoramic views of the Magnoac hillsides and the Pyrenees, the Marian shrine of Notre-Dame de Garaison, a famous school, and beautiful pine forests, all on a hilly and well-marked trail.
In the footsteps of the Romans from Lespugue
It is an easy hike, best done on a sunny autumn day. It will take you to famous historical sites: the Gallo-Roman villa of Montmaurin, Lespugue and its famous Venus, as well as the ruins of its castle. In addition, it is a hilly route with beautiful panoramic views.
Walk through the hillsides of Castelnau-Magnoac
A pleasant circular route to Organ, following a 63 km-long irrigation canal linking Lannemezan to Ornézan (Gers). The return to the village of Castelnau-Magnoac is via the hillsides. On arrival, a break in the village is a must.
Gélabonde Wood in Tajan
A lovely circular walk mainly through the woods. For lovers of roasted chestnuts, autumn is the perfect time for this walk.
Between Saügle and Louge, starting from Franquevielle
This village was part of one of the five ancient châtellenies of Nébouzan, the châtellenie of Saint-Blancart. The church proudly bears the French motto Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité, a rare inscription on a church. All that remains of the castle known as Boussost are a few metres of foundations, close to the town hall, and the church bell tower is thought to be an ancient tower.
Picnics are possible along the route.
La Lande de Franquevielle admires the mountain
The Lande de Franquevielle marks the end of the Lannemezan plateau and overlooks the Garonne valley, a river that flows from Spain. This village was part of one of the five former châtelleries of Nébouzan, the Châtellerie de Saint-Plancart. The church proudly bears the French motto "Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité" (Liberty, Equality, Fraternity), a rare inscription on a church. All that remains of the castle known as "Boussost" are a few metres of foundations near the town hall, and the church bell tower is thought to be an ancient tower. There are two picnic areas.
The Mont Cassin trail
The beauty of this route lies in its diversity: charming villages and churches, castles, chapels... Walkers will also appreciate the coolness of the river and the walk through the Hagède forest.
Lake Puydarrieux
Short walk around Lake Puydarieux. Bird sanctuary with access to huts.
Route almost entirely marked with yellow signs to be followed in an anti-clockwise direction. Sometimes the markings are difficult to see, damaged or missing. A few paths are difficult to see.

The Comminges region north of Cassagnabère-Tournas
This is a beautiful hike (also accessible by mountain bike) that will allow you to discover magnificent panoramic views of the Comminges countryside and the Pyrenees mountain range. This route takes place on paved sections with very little traffic and on dirt or gravel paths along the edge of fields and forests, with even a ford to cross the Nère river.

Chemin des Coteaux de Bellegarde in Masseube
A beautiful hike through the hills of the Gers with stunning panoramic views of the Pyrenees. A circular route between light and shade, alternating between paths, trails and small roads. A circular route that can be enjoyed in all seasons, but is at its most charming in spring or autumn.
Circular route from Aventignan
A portion of the circular route is on the Jacobean Way, passing through a green valley and then skirting the foothills in the undergrowth, where chestnuts abound in autumn.
Cier-de-Rivière - Loop via the Couret and Lauach passes
This hike in the Haut Comminges is pleasant, with little elevation gain, no difficulty and well marked. Most of the route is in the woods, so it is particularly recommended in summer or autumn. In addition, if you want to take a break, there is a picnic table at the Col de Lauach.
Tour du Bouchet
During this walk, the great Bouchère Wood will be your companion. This hike takes you to explore the neighbouring “Ores” valley. Starting from Montsérié, a village rich in archaeological finds, it passes through beautiful Old Forests. An “Old Forest” is an ancient, mature forest: that is to say, it has been continuously forested since at least the mid-19th century. You will also discover Bayelle de Gazave, a vast and beautiful high-altitude clearing, surrounded by mountains.
