Saint-Gervais walks

Loop around the village of Saint-Gervais in the Gard. A short, easy and varied walk, fragrant in spring with thyme, heather and rosemary lining the paths. The route passes through vineyards, olive groves and national forest.

Hike from the village of Saint-Michel-d'Euzet that takes you on a loop around the village of La Roque-sur-Cèze (ranked among the most beautiful villages in France). The village of La Roque is perched on a rocky outcrop and is bordered by the Cèze. The area is a natural site for swimming; near the village are the Cascades de Sautadet falls.

Short loop on the northern trails of La Chartreuse de Valbonne and return via part of the botanical trail.

Short loop starting from the Chartreuse de Valbonne through the Bois de Sagné and its oak trees.

Easy loop from the hamlet of La Bastide d'Orniols in the commune of Goudargues in the Gard. Heath, pine forest, chapels, drystone shelters, stone houses. It is possible to start in the village of Goudargues, see Practical Information below.

Starting from Chusclan, this is a hike over different types of terrain (tarmacked paths between vineyards, DFCI trails, single-track paths, etc.). Viewpoints over the Rhone Valley and Mont Ventoux. Visit to the medieval site of Gicon.

A family walk around the Oppidum of Caesar Camp in Laudun.

A very beautiful, mostly flat trail through holm oak trees, alternating between shaded passages and panoramic views of the surrounding plains and hills. A visit to Caesar's Camp will add a touch of history to the end of the trail.

A walk without too many difficulties and numerous headlands along the route.

The first part of the hike is through the woods, followed by a ridge trail offering superb views of the Rhône valley. At the end of the trail, you will arrive above the fortress.

Sometimes in the woods, sometimes in the vineyards, this walk takes you through the countryside of the Rhone Valley and Mont Ventoux.

The medieval village of Aiguèze is among the most beautiful villages in France. This hike, overlooking the gorges of Ardeche, follows the paths and trails through the heart of the scrubland, olive groves and vineyards.

There is a lot to see in Lussan. Start with the clear waters of the narrows at the Portail des Concluses and carry on to the Pierre Plantée standing stone. You will be delighted by a breathtaking view of the Cévennes and will cross the scrubland on varied terrain to the Table des Turcs dolmen. Eventually you arrive at La Lèque, which is an ideal spot for a lunchbreak. The last few kilometres are on wide lanes, leading back to the first section of the route.

This is a beautiful walk, partly along the river, then leading to the exceptional site of La Maladrerie opposite the Cirque de la Madeleine. The remains of an ancient monastery, probably dating from the 12th century, with improbable origins. Reality or Templar myth? Be sure to follow the yellow markings on the ground between (6) and (7). This is a fairly shaded hike, with one section offering a lovely view. The quarries are a fun and peaceful place for a picnic. The distance is not a problem as there is little elevation gain, making this a hike that is accessible to many, with the added bonus of a visit to Saint Quentin and its pottery workshops on the way back!
