Head to La Chartreuse de Valbonne and park in the car parks along the D23b.
(S/E) From the car park, go up the D23b road that leaves La Chartreuse on the left (red and whiteGR®42Asignposts and yellow signposts).
(1) When the road bends to the left, take the track that climbs to the right and follow it for about 1.5 km uphill to the Croix de Sablé crossroads.
(2) Leave theGR® and turn right onto the yellow-marked track towards La Croisée/Tourache/Valérian. Ignore the first path on the left and continue along the track.
(3) 600 m further on, at a fork, take the left-hand path marked with a "Sauf Service" sign. After passing a woodcutter's clearing, the path becomes narrower and then, at a fork, turns right and becomes a small path that descends into the oak forest.
(4) When this road reaches a vineyard, turn right and then immediately left onto the paved road. Continue for about 600 metres on the paved road until you reach the La Croisée/Tourache/Valérian intersection.
(5) Turn right towards Mas de Tourache. The path passes through vineyards and arrives at a signpost. Continue straight ahead on the path, which becomes stony, towards Chemin de Saint Jean. The path quickly leaves the vineyards and enters the forest. At a fork, keep left and continue slightly uphill.
Ignore the other paths and continue to the Chemin de Saint Jean crossroads
(6). Turn right onto the botanical trail (no more signposts). The trail descends steeply, crosses a footbridge and arrives at a T-junction at the "La bécasse des bois" sign. Turn right and continue along the botanical trail, which is marked with signs and fun workshops.
Cross another footbridge and climb a steep hill to reach the Natura 2000 sign
(7). Turn right. The trail will lead you to the "Creative Forest", with all kinds of children's creations. After crossing it, the trail ends at a gate marking the entrance (or exit) of the botanical trail.
Go through the gate and continue along the path towards the Chartreuse, then turn right between two vineyards.
When the trail comes close to the road, turn left along the stone wall and join the road that leads to the car park (S/E).
