Head to the Chartreuse de Valbonne and park in the car parks along the D23b.
(S/E) From the car park, go up the D23b road that leaves La Chartreuse on the left and leave it 200 metres further on to turn left onto a path towards Font des Dames. This path, marked in red and white (GR®42A) and yellow, climbs into the forest and arrives at the D23 road at the Font des Dames sign.
Take the path opposite towards Le Chapelas for a steep climb that leads to a track at the Le Chapelas signpost.
(1) Leave theGR® and turn left onto the yellow-marked path towards Bois de Sagnès. 500m further on, at a high-voltage power line, the markings leave the path and turn right, following the power line.
After a descent into the forest, the trail crosses a track twice before continuing straight ahead and finally coming out onto the D303.
(2) Turn right/left and take the path parallel to a road. At the Bois de Sagnès sign, take the path that branches off to the right towards Chemin du Pradas and Saint-Laurent de Carnols.
(3) Just before a building, the signpost turns right into the woods. Follow the well-marked main trail and ignore all other trails.
(4) At a fork at marker 58, follow the signposting to the right which descends and ends 400m further down at the Chemin du Pradas crossroads.
Turn right onto this wide path (GR®42A) towards Source de l'Arnave. It will end one kilometre further on, at the D303. Turn left onto the road towards Sarraier, then 100 metres after, leave the road and take the path on the right (GR®42A).
(5) 150 metres further on, at the Sarraier crossroads, turn right onto the path that climbs towards Chapelas.
(6) When you reach a crossroads (marker 22), follow the signs to the right along the vineyards, then 200 metres further on, turn right again to go around the Domaine du Chapelas and arrive at the crossroads of the same name.
(1) Turn left to descend towards the Chartreuse de Valbonne via the same path you took on the way there, to return to the car park (S/E).
